The 21" doesn't take the wheels into account, but the airlines do and the LiftTwo exceeds the accepted measurements for carry-on luggage. When traveling, I had to borrow a smaller carry-on and leave my brand new Samsonite at home. Wish I'd save the box so I could return it. Pretty, but so what if it's Useless!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi I'm a road worrier who is traveling 40+ weeks a year. I love my Lift 2 bag as a carry on. I will fit on most aircraft larger than a CRJ 900. wheels or handle first on the long side or in a 737 or Airbus A 319. I like the bag for packing as my 30" inseam pants will lay flat folded in half. the weight and size make this my go to bag. I'm on my 3rd lift bag in 7 years and it's the wear and tear of commercial air travel that has caused my to update my bags.

I like the product however my only issue is the interior capacity. I have a similar carry on that I have had for about ten years that is the exact same height, however the interior capacity is less in the newer model by about an inch or a little more in length and depth. This is due to the wheel base on the newer model regarding the interior length. I hate to lose that interior packing capacity considering you want to avoid having to check luggage and pay the fee.
