Awesome looking cooktop

Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought all Whirlpool appliances for our custom built home. We wanted a simple cooktop, no grill as we do that outside here in Texas. The base is easy to clean and I recommend Bar Keepers Friend/Soft Cleanser and a soft sponge. And, once clean and cleanser totally gone I always let 'air dry' for best finished results. The black covers come off easily to clean and the actual stainless covers can be removed and cleaned with a soft Brillo pad to remove dark cooking spots. Be sure to replace the black covers exactly else the FLAME will not fire all the way around, take a quick look to ensure proper placement.

The grate is too high to use

The stove came with the new house. Builder installed this cooktop and the grate is too high above the burner which wastes the energy. After first cleaning of the cooktop, the top had rust and turned yellowish. There are spots on the burner rings. The burner cover paint started to peel. I am very disappointed with the quality. I have only used it for 2 months and I am stuck with it. I would never recommend this to anyone. I would give zero star!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop was a builder supplied item. I could not upgrade to something larger. It is small and barely holds two large pots. The grates are uneven. It is hard to clean.

Nice looking but has a few issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came with a new home we built. It’s very nice looking but the cast iron grates are rough and scratch the bottom of my pots and pans. Also, the smallest burner doesn’t stay lit when you put it past medium. I would have also maybe reconfigured so one of the larger burners in the front, but that’s personal preference. Overall does the job!
