Poor design

I have an identical cooktop without the hinges and I don't think Whirlpool ever set any pots or pans on it. It was part of an appliance package I got with a new home and the burners are so close together that if you put a 10 inch frying pan on one of the back burners there isn't enough room for a small pot or medium size pot on one of the front burners. So much for being able to host a decent size dinner for the family. I wish I was able to give this a lower rating than one star because it's not much good for anything when a pot is only halfway on the burner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the looks of this stovetop but it is not easy to clean. The light weight stainless steel streaks easily. The heavy cast iron grate bars have to be individually cleaned. I was very disappointed that one of the burners arrived with peeling paint. What do I do about that!? Other than cleaning and peeling paint, the unit works fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mostly satisfied. My only suggestion is that at least one of the large burners should be in the front. It is hard to use a wok for stir frying with only small burners in the front.

I really love how easy it is to lift up the grated for cleaning. My only hang up is that I wish one of the larger burners were in the front to make stirring large pots easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little small in that it’s hard to use all 4 burners at a time. Really wish the larger burners were in the front since these are most often used. Love the hinged Grates - great feature!
