This bag is bigger than 29". My husband has a 28" Samsonite from a few years back, and my new bag looks a lot bigger. Furthermore this new bag does not seem to be constructed with the same strong materials as my husband's older bag. It's big and spacious, so it's great for bulky items, but I'm a little worried about putting protected fragile items in it. Will be using it for the first time next week. Hopefully it works out great!
