Great Capitol

This set is very cool! I rate this the best LEGO Architecture set so far. Even if there are more pieces in the Statue of Liberty, I think this one is better. Hopefully LEGO makes a Beijing, Rockefeller Center, or even better, a new Trevi Fountain set.

Capital building fun to build
on January 25, 2017

I started buying Legos for my grandchildren and found that I love them myself.
The Capital building is impressive looking but I was dissappointed that it was so small. I would have love it being bigger so that you could see inside at the statues. Overall it still looks impressive. Can't wait to get the White house.

The best Lego Architecture Set So FAR
on November 26, 2016

This set is what every Lego architecture fan would wish for. This lego set contains 1084 pieces it seems like a lot less as it really doesnt take a long time to build. This piece when completed looks astonishing as every fine detail is captured from the front to the interior it is very well designed.

Best Model Yet

The US Capitol Building model was a surprisingly fun build. I expected there to be many repetitive steps in it like with the White House or the Louvre, but everything was just a little bit different and kept a fun amount of excitement as you saw how the designers executed the details. The really fun surprise was the detachable dome that reveals the rotunda below with the statues inside!
Despite the large number of pieces, the set was a relative quick build. The base has a lot of details when it comes to the lawn, sidewalks, and flooring of the rotunda, but after that, the set is a relatively easy and exciting build. I own the entire Architecture series and this has quickly become a showstopper set among them all.

Best Architecture set so far

This is the 3rd Architecture set I've built, after the Eiffel Tower and the Big Ben, and this is the best one so far.
The finished building looks great, specially a big fan of the pillars and dome. But despite the piece count, it was a rather quick build, in just under 3 hours.
It's a great product, but it can be a bit expensive for how little it takes to build.

Good, but not big enough!

I really enjoyed building this set, however I was disappointed that the back of the building is basically cut off. I decided to divert from the instruction booklet and use my own pieces to create an 'updated' version, which includes a centered dome and the other half of the building, so the model is complete, not just a front view. what if they did this with the Eiffel Tower? Who wants an Eiffel Tower with only 2 legs? Still, it was fun to build, and I'm excited to turn it into something more detailed and technically correct.

The State of Our Union IS STRONG!

Wow! What a great build! I had done the NY City Architecture build in the past and found it to be rather stressful for various reasons, so I had concerns going into building the US Capitol Building. Those concerns quickly diminished as I started building this kit. It was just a fun experience from beginning to end.
My one complaint -- that the bags for the Architecture kits are not numbered -- was NEVER really a factor with this build since several of the bags in this kit only contain one type of brick, which made finding parts very quick and easy. The build flowed very logically from beginning to end, and I know I sound like a broken record, but it was just FUN!!!
I love the attention that went into this kit! There are interior details that you cannot really see, but I thought it was amazing that they were included in the kit anyway. I wish I had taken photos throughout the build process so I could show the rotunda, but I had SO MUCH FUN that I didn't want to stop!
Simply put, this is a great kit for anyone looking to build one of the Architecture sets. The finished result is AMAZING, and the build really is a pleasurable experience! Well done Lego!!!
--As a side note: I need to mention the manual. It is very beautifully done. I was impressed with the Lego Ideas Saturn V manual, but the manual for the Capitol Building really is a sight to see. It is beautifully printed, and just contributes to the overall pleasure of the experience.

Great build; excellent model!

This was my second Architecture set, and this set has drawn me into the theme. Prior to the build, I expected the same to be monotonous given the scale and number of 1x1 bricks. But, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the build and at how detailed and representative the resulting model appears. I highly recommend this set! Great job, LEGO!
