Amazing

This lego was very fun to build. It took me three days(i have two young kids). It had some intresting building techniques that made it fun. Most of my legos are on display and i allow my kids to play with them. This set is well designed and it doesnt fall apart when they play with it( no Kragle needed!). It looks amazin on display too. ( It catches guest eyes since it is such a different build). It is quite tall, giving it that movie-like feeling when they play with smaller city builds. Overall an amazing lego set! Happy building!

Poor design

This build had some fun elements but several parts are poorly designed/ poorly engineered. Some steps also seem out of order - Which creates unnecessary difficulty. The back panels are not stable- They do not have the support they require. They are flimsy. Red transparent pieces that surround Turret are placed last- However this step could easily have been placed at an earlier time- Not sure why they did this other than to frustrate the builder. Fun build but obviously not enough thought went into design.

Great to look at...but not for small kids.

I've become somewhat obsessed with Star Wars LEGO of late and the purchase of this set is no exception. It looks great, it was a great build, but like other feedback hey already, it unfortunately is just not something you can have your kids play with. The side panels fall off with the slightest touch; the head opening comes off when opening; and the legs...well they don't come apart but everything on them does. Also if trying to replace the shooter on top without holding the body firm, the legs can't withstand the load and it will simply fall over. My two boys are still having fun with it, but they use it more like a walker that has been shot down and blown up. My nights now include a rebuild as part of my regime. As for making sure everything is put together firmly and by the book, I have rebuilt it so often, I am thinking of starting to use glue.

Thank you for your review. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with your LEGO® First Order Heavy Assualt Walker™. It's no fun if a set doesn't stand like it should. Based on your photo, it does seem like something's a little off the joints on yours. I'd strongly recommend rebuilding the legs, paying special attention to each of the joints. You want to be sure that every piece is pressed together tightly and that they're all exactly in the spot specified in the instructions.
If you'd like any help troubleshooting the build, we have a team of LEGO experts who can lend a hand. Just go to LEGO.com/Service to get in touch.

Ok, this was the first Star Wars Lego set I did not enjoy building and try not to touch now.
First of all, I bought this set before the second collection of sets were released. So at the time the minifig selection was amazing and unique. A brand new Poe, Rey, Storm Trooper and Walker Pilot. If only I waited a little longer, I would have found these same figures in sets for only a fraction of the price.
The legs and skeleton were easy to assemble, are robust and hold together perfectly... however I found this set a challenge to build after the core was built, mainly because pieces all over it kept falling off.
I find that numerous exterior parts want to fall off. Such as the jowel section on the underside of the head, they fall off easily. The side panels on the front legs knock off easily. And other small single pieces just drop off. Even after securing them back on, it doesn't last long.
On the upside this set does look amazing in a static position and the turbo gun works excellently. I wouldn't recommend this for the age range suggested as it feel it is too fragile, but for an adult collector this is a great looking display piece.

This was a replacement for a Xmas gift. I didn't really want the set but thought I'd give it a try. I like the set it was a fun buiild. It took a few days to complete as I only build an hour or so at a time. The set is nice but not great for play. It is kind of front heavy and the head parts dont fit well. Lego had to do it to get it to look like the movie. There are some nice play features but its somewhat of a fragile set.
