Loved this item to pair my r2d2, the detalis and movement of the head are awesome, and still very cute. loved the way the sphere was built.

I really enjoyed this build, I love how you guys incorporated the head, and arm/cutting utensil movement. Head moves just like the movie, AWESOME!!!!! I look forward to many more great Lego sets.

Fun and intricate little build! Connected moving parts are always great (a nice improvement on the R2D2 who had moving parts, but they aren't connected to move like the BB8)
It's a smaller piece that can easily be displayed.

Just a fun build, I love the way it looks on my shelf. Great detail on head bobble movement .A nice surprise Lego thought of this. The retractable arm is cute but I wish it was more. This is a must if your a droid fan. I think a life size version of this would be amazing.

It is an great set I love the electric zapper thing that comes out when you turn a nob and I love how the head moves when you turn a different nob!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh how I wanted this set and upon receiving it i was overjoyed! The build was spectacular. The complicated guts of the droid more than made up for the slight redundancy of the side panels on the body. The designers really outdid themselves with the inside. The mechanisms are ingenious and an absolute blast to build. I had intended to take my time but couldn't help myself once I started. The only con is the weakness of the stand. I'll need to modify it because the slightest pressure on top will knock some of the bracing pieces off. Other than that, the set is one of true perfection!!

A ball of pleasure

I recently reviewed the Newt's case LEGO and told it was my first set I bought since very long long time. This was the second that accompanied it for my new beginning as a LEGO fan (see picture)! (and I am a Star Wars Fan as well).
The LEGO was very enjoyable, worth the price (in term of pieces/price :D ) and the final result is very satisfying! The head mechanism is too much fun to play with! I would have like an automatic closure of the front when you can "lit" the little burner, but otherwise, super nice! Play experience is 4/5, because it is a bit boring to have 5/6 parts that offer the same challenge and same concept ^^' each time. But the inside mechanism was super cool to build and weird at the same time!
I recommend, really ! ... and be careful with the pieces... I switched one without holes with one with holes by accident at some stage, and found myself unable to put the head on top ^^' had to tear the poor BB-8 apart to switch pieces back....
