Bb8, box had to be broken into

The build could be classed as quite repetitive. The side panels, minus the details are all the same(ish)
The mechanics inside are nice. Not built a set like this for a long time. New shape bricks for myself whom has been out of touch with Lego for a few years.
Not sure if I missed something. Little welder comes out pushing the front door panel, but the door doesn't retract when the welder is pulled back in. Can't see I've missed anything.
I like it a lot.

Smaller than expected

BB8 was always destined to be a Lego model and this set captures the spirit of him well.
The set combines technics elements for the movement element and that's the most complex bit of the build. The rest is slightly repetitive but given the speherical shape and the mainly white colour scheme that's to be expected.
Overall I was slightly disappointed with the finished size. With the release of the UCS falcon perhaps time for a giant BB8 model.

The stick-out flame does not extend to vertical and the door does not close automatically when the flame arm is wound back in. Missed opportunity to make an ok build in to an exceptional one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cool set

I enjoyed building this set the inner mechanics were really cool. The only thing i had issues with was if you dont align the gear set up just right it goes crooked. So spending extra time to make sure that is correct will go a long way.

I got this for my wife and she loved him! It took her almost 7 hours to make this while I built the snowspeeder in 10 hours. She loves that BB8 can move his head around and give a thumbs up with his lighter. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

This build was my return to Lego. Even though this set is a little repetitive it was still fun watching BB-8 come together and looks great when completed.
