Time well spent

The inner workings are incredible. The blowtorch and head movement makes for some amazing character in this model. The ONLY gripe I have with this model is that when you retract the blowtorch, the front panel does not close after it. Overall, a great addition to any collector’s arsenal, and time well spent.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stepping away from the star ships this Bb8 model is top notch. I loved the previous R2D2 set which was really impressive, this one is actually better. The size is smaller than the r2 build but it should be. The handling is excellent, the playability is excellent, the durability is excellent. I really have nothing to complain about here and that is rare when it comes to recent lego sets. However this build is fun, our 7 year old helped tremendously, and was able to play without pieces falling off. 5 star set.

Good little model, complex shape but not difficult to build, and the end result is a pretty robust bit of kit. I found the build was fun and not too repetitive and the features are nifty little gadgets. It looks great next to the R2 UCS set from a few years back as well. Pretty good value for a Starwars set as well. Highly recommended for any UCS collector or Starwars fan.

My husband bought this beautiful little BB-8 for me for Christmas this year and let me say, it was a wonderful build. So much more fun than I anticipated. I expected it to be repetitive, it was not in any way. The gears you create to control the movement of his head are brilliant. This set won't let you down. It's also very heavy and durable. There are a lot of pieces holding him together.

BB-8 build

This set looks great. The head movements mimic the real thing. It was a fun build. At completion it stands about 10 inches tall. The display stand is a nice touch. The lighter thumbs up should have extended a bit further out in my opinion. All in all a fun afternoon project.

Amazing set

I bought this set thinking BB-8 wouldn't be too big, probably the size of a soft ball, but it's a lot bigger than that. It was a great build, I didn't get tired of it. I thought the instructions would be repetitive, too, which it wasn't. None of the sides were exactly the same. Plus, it's sturdy and comes with a stand, the BB-8 minifigure, and an informational sticker. Overall, an amazing set. Definitely worth it.

Personally one thing that I find hard when designing my own sets is making a large sphere. I like the wielding torch function as it is a nice use of cogs. At my house I have a very large room of Lego and this set will fit in with my large collection very well.

Saw this was a USC model and thought it looked nice and price seemed reasonable as well.
Build process is pretty simple, a little repetitive but that didn't take anything away from the build process, it was a nice model to build up essentially a rounded square :) but the end result is worth it.
The wobbly head effect is fantastic and really cleaver as you start on that part very early in the build and then building everything around the middle.
It's a real solid model, so i'm not worried if it gets knocked and the movable parts (lighter) is a nice touch.
I would recommend this to a friend!
