More complex than it looks.

I thought there would be a lot of repetition to this and to some extent there was. However, each side is a little different and not interchangeable. The internal structure is nicely geared and quite structured. I really had a lot of fun putting this together.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the BB-8. Moving parts allow the BB-8 to show some hidden features which is pretty neat.
It was a fun build. Unfortunately there are single stud pieces so you have to be real careful when aligning it on another piece.
But other than that, love the BB-8
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loved it! It was difficult to tell on the instructions where new pieces were being added on each page, I think it would be helpful if there was a way to "highlight" where the pieces are being added on the LEGO figure. Just a thought! Fun set to build, it's not too little or too big, and all around looks amazing when it's done! The whole figure does rotate

Fun build, unique design, fun features

I am blown away by the design. The designers were able to achieve a unique shape and add excellent movement. I'm not normally a Star Wars fan and haven't had much experience building with technic pieces and gears. This was a refreshing change from building mostly modulars. I'm looking forward to rebuilding this set again - that is how great the set is. I would purchase again 100%. My only small concern would be any discoloration of the white pieces down the road, and the rubber band losing elasticity over time.

Thanks for the review! We're glad to hear you're enjoying your set. To keep your bricks in tip top condition, always remember to display and store your model out of direct sunlight. Keeping it in a temperature controlled room that isn't too hot or cold will help was well!

I love the little torch that pops out upon turning one of the circles that cover his body. it can also stand up without the stand

This is an amazing set and LEGO did great designing it. The build is very accurate and looks just like the character. The build is a longer build and slightly hard at some points but looks amazing. This sets contains so many cool functions and allows some playability in a set that is great for displaying. Great set for fans!
I would recommend this to a friend!
