We experienced bad air quality from the California forest fires. This is the most effective and quietest air purifier. I have four other brands. This is the best one.

I used a couple less expensive replacement filters and they don’t really do that great. But I spent extra for the upgraded filter which was much more effective and after almost 3 years of continuous, 24 hr use it is working like new. I don’t trust the filter meter though. I’m on a fixed income and this is an expensive luxury but my health is a necessity

I recently purchased 2 new Blue Pure 121 filters. So far so good. I splurged and ordered the ones with the carbon. I haven't really noticed a huge difference from the ones without, but I did notice they are much heavier than the filters without the carbon. We have 4 kids and 3 cats and a dog, so I feel like they are doing something. I vacuum or wash the cloth prefilters once a week and they are usually pretty dusty. These filters are crazy expensive, especially when you replace 2 of them at a time. the high price was the reason I took off a star. But I can't imagine the amount of dust and whatever else if we didn't have them. Still not convinced if the carbon upgrade is worth the cost?

I purchased my Blueair air purifier to get ready for fire season in northern Nevada. While fire season has not started yet, I am very impressed with this machine's ability to remove dust from the air, along with pet and cooking odors. Super quiet on low. We can watch TV with it on.
