2nd time I purchased this model

I purchased this model in 2008 when remodeling our kitchen. I have been very happy with it. Unfortunately, the push mechanism to open the microwave door broke recently but I was happy to see the same model still available when looking for a replacement. The only other problem we encountered over the 18 yrs we owned this model was the face plate under the door came unglued. If any improvements could be made it would be to have the door mechanism last or not break as well as ensure the face plate doesn't come unglued. Overall, we have been very pleased with this microwave.

Clearly Described Display, Large Interior

This is relatively quiet & has many buttons that offer many options. Reheating beverages, cooking vegetables, using the popcorn feature & other buttons cook very accurately. Although this unit is smaller on the outside to the other brand it replaced, the interior has a much larger inside! Best of all, when the cook setting is done, the unit beeps 2-3 times just once. Our last brand beeped every 20 seconds indefinitely which was annoying. ‘From Sharp Minds Come Sharp Products.’

Love this microwave

We remodeled our kitchen in 2006 and have had to replace several of the appliances more than once but not this microwave. The button on the door broke but the other than that it has been working great for 20 years and because of that we are buying it again.

I have had this model for 26 years. I’m hoping to get a good life out of the new one. Didn’t have to change anything to put the new one in. Perfect.

New/Old rReliable

We had this same model Sharp microwave for 16 years, used every day when we were home. Late in 2025 we started to have some problems, the door not always latching properly and some inside paint/coating wearing off. It still worked but slamming the door a few times to get it going was not good. We decided to buy ourselves a Christmas present, a new microwave. When looking at over the counter microwaves it was a surprise that Sharp that after 16+ years they still manufactured the same model we had. Knowing the average lifetime of a microwave is 7 - 10 years we knew that was the model we wanted. It was a plus that installation was not a problem. Unplugged the old microwave, removed two screws, tilted it and lifted it out. The new bracket was identical to the old one so we didn't have to use it. Reversed the steps and the new microwave was installed ready to use in less than 5 minutes. m We hope it will last as long as the old one.

We purchased this OTC microwave 18 years ago and it is still working great. It’s easy to use and has everything you need for everyday use. We were thrilled to find out that SHARP still makes this microwave. We recently purchased this same model so when our current microwave does go it will fit in the same space with the same great quality.

I bought my first Sharp microwave of this model in 2003 and it worked consistently until the end of June this year, 2025. I had remodeled my kitchen 10 years ago and had that microwave built in. I was worried that I would never find a microwave to fit the space and was thrilled to learn the same model was still available. I bought it quickly, it was delivered and installed and I’m hoping this will be the same workhorse as my previous one was and I won’t have to replace it until 2047.
