love it and hate it

love it because i can walk around listening to music and people dont notice. sound is great and phone calls are even better i use it for work and while driving.... love it my work truck is loud and most bluetooth devices just didnt work for me. i would need a headphone to talk but thats illegal while driving. this works great... ive walked around home depot with 70-80 percent loud volume and no one seems to be bother or even notice. but if you are in a small quite room people will hear it. i use it on my xbox awesome super awesome. now i can play games loud and not have my wife yell lower that every five minutes lol.
hate it because hurts my neck. moving around with it will start rubbing and hurting. its the cloth part that bothers. 6 hour battery not true. i think i get less than 4 hours at work and even less when i play call of duty. about 2 and a half the easy connect not really. when using the digital transmitter at first great but when i try using it on another device had problems. the bluetooth is not automatic. have to go into bluetooth settings everytime i need to pair it to my iphone7. why i hate it is because i have many other bluetooth devices that automatic pair to my phone. and last i have to say its a little heavy... the BTA does not work with my tv. samsung Q7 2018 model. bluetooth will but speech not in sync
in all i do recommend it. has its cons but everyone that sees it loves it and wants it.
fixes i wish they do... remove the cloth it needs to stretch open a little more. its too tight when donning in it or removing it more battery life a must

TV isn’t loud enough

I bought this for my mom who is hard of hearing. She lives in an apartment and her neighbors complained when she watched tv at night. She loves it because now she can hear her tv and the neighbors can’t.
She can better understand what people are saying with the wearable too. It’s so comfortable she hardly knows it’s on.

Soundgear BTA

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He has a hearing problem. I like the concept where by he doesn't need to remove headphones in order to fully hear me. Unfortunately, it's not very comfortable against the back of your neck when lying on the couch (too hard). When walking around it can fall off if you have a small neck and you bend over and it's too tight if you have a large neck. The sound is okay, but needs to be adjusted when the commercials come on and it's not always easy to find the volume button quickly. Also, we noticed that when you operate the microwave oven or move too far away from the TV (like into the next room) the sound from the soundgear gets out of sync with the TV and then it sounds like there is an echo. The only way to correct this it seems is to turn off the soundgear and turn it back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound and perfect for the hearing challenged

Only 4 stars because I've only had them for 2 days, but I couldn't be more pleased! My wife and 2 daughters constantly complain about the volume of the tv with my 60 year old (drag strip and duck blind) effected hearing, but NO MORE ! While it took 10 minutes of experiments with the different cables to get it connected correctly to my sound bar equipped Samsung tv, it has been a complete pleasure since. When I chose the correct placement of the audio and power cables, 'pairing' was immediate and constant. I can leave the room and stay connected. Great voice and music tones, and when my wife tried them she heard things in the underlying background even she had been missing! Now for a full Father's Day of watching the US Open!

I can’t make it work, can’t understand the directions, is there a video I can watch? I have a new tv with Sonos, I have WiFi and BT, I don’t know whether to send it back or hire someone to set it up.... help! I’ll re-rate if I can get it to work :)
