A Great Game for Alphabet Fun!

I had the privilege of reviewing this game on The Organized Classroom Blog on 2-26-12. The great guide that comes with the set includes 3 games - 2 of them with variations, for a total of 5 different ways you can play. I love how the games are set up so that there are ways to play with one child (tutoring), a small group (reading groups or centers), or whole class. I bet it would even be a hit during indoor recess for the cold-weather schools out there! All the game suggestions are fantastic for building letter identification, phonemic awareness, alphabetical order, vocabulary development, auditory memory, listening comprehension, and expressive language skills. I could easily see how you could play a quick game of "I Have, Who Has" with the cards already provided!
Pros: Durable, Educational, Engaging, Interactive, Lots of Fun
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Granddaughter LOVES this game!

I baby sit my 18 month old granddaughter on Thursday evenings. We play before her 7 year old aunt and uncle (my twins) come home from school. They also love to play games with her. This is the perfect game for them to interact with her. They read the riddles to her and show her the picture cards with the corresponding alphabet. For some reason she just loves the "Ss" Sunglasses. :)
Pros: Colorful, Delightful, Durable, Easy to Hold, Educational, Engaging, Eye Catching, Interactive, Lots of Fun
Cons: Haven't found 1 yet
I would recommend this to a friend!

Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game is a very simple game that allows parents and kids to be creative and have fun. The trunk comes with 26 letter cards with a letter and image on them. There is also a set of Grandma's Riddles cards that ask simple "Who" type questions for kids to answer. There are five suggested games you can play all of which are geared towards helping kids with their letters. You can play with one child or a whole classroom! Have kids name the objects, sound out the letters, and put them in order of the alphabet. The cards are durable cardboard and wonderfully illustrated and kid-friendly. Its funny how something so simple can be so cute and fun.
Pros: Durable, Educational, Engaging, Interactive
