Great for big hands

Large, Heavy, Premium mouse

Alright, I was looking for a Premium mouse that had even more buttons, as well as ROG, so I could match the software up with the rest of my PC, and still looked good. I was never going to use the wireless function on it at first, until I tried it wireless and enjoyed it.
It's a big, heavy beast of a mouse, with a magnetic magnesium frame, and that makes it awkward to use at first, but with time it becomes natural.
The 6 buttons located on the side of the mouse are great, feel nice and solid along with having the bonus of excellent tactile feel when learning where the buttons go, or where you've assigned the buttons in your games. Mouse buttons 4 and 5 suffer greatly though, being at the awkward end of the index finger to use.
Now, the wireless magnetic charging base is excellent, easy to just slap the mouse onto it for a quick charge while you step away from the computer, or when you want to lean back and watch some videos.
The ROG Armory software is good, allowing me to set my preferences, DPI, and mousepad surface for best feeling. I went with the ROG Balteus, and it's been fantastic and smooth.
My favorite feature though is the RGB, and not referring to the usual beautiful AURA functions, I'm referring to the fact you can set the RGB to reflect the Battery Life, and it works brilliantly.
Speaking of battery, it's rather weak. On my current settings, if I leave it on overnight off the cradle, it'll be at roughly 50% or lower battery life, and in the morning, it'll need charging to deal with my own personal OCD. On a good note though, the mouse can be charged in wired mode easily enough if you don't want to wait for it to charge.

1. It's very heavy. At 6.3 ounces or 178 grams, it's a ponderous beast of a mouse that will take time to get used to.
2. Buttons 4 and 5 are almost unusable if you have smaller hands.

Awesome mouse with terrible software.

This mouse fits a normal person's hand like a glove, unlike other's mouses that are apparently made for small Asian women or children. When it works, it works beautifully, but it does have it's hiccups. The software is limited to only 5 presets, whereas my other MMO mouses have unlimited profiles available. The software also, apparently, loses it's mind. It loses the presets. It loses the game memory. It loses everything, whereas it's competitors still maintain their cloud memory of games that I set over 5 years ago. ASUS has wonderful ideas, but fails on the follow through of making decent software. I still love this mouse, and use it nearly constantly, but have to live with it's shortcomings, and it's flakyness requires that I must still use my other mouses as backup when this one inevitably fails. Please fix the software so that I can say that this amazing mouse is flawless. I want this to be my favorite mouse in the world, but it just doesn't have the software to accomplish that feat.

Expensive, bulky, heavy and has an array of side buttons that really feel like they're there just to flex the amount of vertices that this mouse has.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
