Amazing low price, comes in a 2.5 laptop model, and for a few bucks I purchased the 3yr warranty. Cann't go wrong!

Bad batch?

I bought two of this make and model of hard disk drive for my Promise Pegasus R4 drive array (RAID-5 array) through Best Buy and they both failed within a week. Avoid like the plague. The Seagates have had a bad reputation in the past and I wonder if that hasn't changed even now. (Either that or my Promise Pegasus is suddenly eating drives, although the other drives it still has (*they're not Seagates) still seem to work fine. I'll update if that changes.) For now I recommend Western Digital or Toshiba.
