This microwave is small and fits my small kitchen. The features are basic but they do the job.

This cannot be a Whirlpool/Maytag appliance.

Only 4 years of life??? This type of microwave with model# WMC50522S came with our house and 4 years later it doesn’t heat up food anymore. I tried replacing magnetron, capacitor, diodes and door switches but nothing seemed to have helped. I keep on looking for replacement hoping to buy one but Whirlpool absolutely has none available. After a lot research, i found out that they have a different model# UMC5225GZ but still the same product Whirlpool/Maytag. After reading lots of negative reviews for this product, I am doubting that if the one that came with our house was ever a quality built microwave. I was under the impression that Whirlpool makes some of the best electrical appliances but the experience is very disappointing. I'm hoping the customer service as well as technicians help customers in fixing the appliance and keep up the reputation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this microwave in January 2019 and it has run its course. The turntable no longer rotates and it likely became a fire hazard as the outer cover became extremely hot. I obviously unplugged it for safety reasons. Reading the other reviews on this microwave, I can see why the vast majority gave it 1-star. Look elsewhere for a quality microwave that won't try to burn your kitchen down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
