Good little vertical smoker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd smoker. My first two were different brands of vertical, and horizontal smokers. I bought this smoker after seeing others in social media using it and a lot of research. It fit my wants from previous smokers; 1) being a vertical smoker 2) offset firebox 3) not a lot of modification needed to fit my needs/wants 4) good value and price 5) based on feedback from other owners, it lasts a long time.
Smoked one it a few times already and I am EXTREMELY satisfied with it. Easy access to the firebox to add fuel, and holds temp well.
I am looking forward to using it a lot!

we purchased the smoker about a month ago we have smoked quite a few things in this I had a friend tell me the ribs that I served was better than Chili'sI have grilled ribs pretty much the last 30 years and I always have a very good outcome and I have to say that using the smoker was one of the best things I have ever doneand I am talking fall off the bone they melt in your mouth I don't know what else to say I set a pan of water on the very bottom rack to keep moisture in the smoker while its smoking

Got my smoker today, seasoned as required. I did research via reviews and performed the suggested sealing procedures. I absolutely LOVE IT..After my first attempt I now know what I need to do to maintain a steady temp and how to place the food in the smoke box, to create the best results. Experiment and utilize the smoke stack with the adjustable damper (great feature). I look forward to Many years of impressing my family and friends. Excellent quality..

Easy to use smoker with reasonable capacity.

I did a fair amount of research on this model smoker prior to purchasing it. I took the advice of numerous others found online, and even before use, I added 1/8" x 1/2" nomex self adhesive seal around both door openings (I applied it to the door side), and I utilized high temp black RTV to all the joints. With these two very simple and inexpensive modifications, the smoker does not leak any smoke - suggesting that it is also not leaking any thermal energy. All the smoke simply goes out the chimney. This unit is very easy and straight forward to assemble, as it only required very minimal assembly. I additionally extended the chimney opening down into the smoker about 6-inches, utilizing a large soup can with both ends removed, slit down one side, and pop riveted to the proper diameter to snuggly fit the opening. The cylindrical ribs on the exterior of the can hold it in the opening, and this seems to help better trap the smoke in the chamber. The smoker is really easy to utilize, and easy to regulate to 250-275degF utilizing chunk charcoal, and regulating the inlet and outlet. I appreciate the fact that this unit has a separate door for the burn chamber, in order to better maintain more constant and continuous temperature in the smoking chamber. The only other modification I'm planning to add shortly, is a wheeled platform to more easily move it in and outside (and to store charcoal and wood chunks on) - otherwise you really need two people to move it. I would easily recommend this unit, keeping in mind to make the minimal suggested upgrades to make the smoker work really well.

A friend told me about the smokers on Home Depot website. I couldn't believe I had finally found the smoker that I wanted. I smoked pork butt and it came out perfect.

Easy To Assemble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed as to the ease of assembling this smoker and will now cure it. I used a cement to insure that both sides are connected and hopefully that will eliminate any issue regarding leaking of smoke.

We love it! Putting it together was easy with 1 person, great step by step instructions. a few small leaks so far but its not enough to make a difference. Everything works as it should. We smoked a ham and ribs right after it seasoned for 30 min, Perfect flavor.

Easy to make great smoked brisket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this over a week. I fired it up and burned it in for a couple of hours. The next day I cooked ribs and brisket. It is easy to keep the temperature in the "smoke zone" and needed very little monitoring during the smoking.
It is easy to assemble, easy to use. Easy cleanup. Only 2 complaints I can think of. Mine was missing 2 screws for the air intake control. The other is that the "drip pan" is tiny. I suggest just putting one of those throw away aluminum pans in the bottom or on the bottom shelf.
