I never thought I would pay this much for a toaster but since I paid a fortune for my white kitchen renovation, I threw all financial caution to the wind and took the plunge. (You can look around and find deals - I found Williams Sonoma had the highest price and an Amazon seller who had the lowest price). This product looks and works great and the all-metal construction gives this toaster some "heft" - which I love. I am looking forward to a lifetime of use so I'm hoping this baby will do right by me. Time will tell.

Definitely worthy of the Pro Line

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my toast and butter. I know I'm not alone, but I have been using a competitors toaster that lasted for 12 years and this one shows conscious improvements but is missing a couple of minor enhancements that would make it nearly perfect.
Pros: a gentle chime is used to alert you not a piercing tone.

The frozen selection provides perfect toast every time. I was so sick of eating soggy toast until I bought the KitchenAid ProLine. Even regular thawed bread, the toast is perfection.
