Much better than the one i replaced

I bought this in December as a part of a kitchen remodel. I really like the 3 speed fan and choice in lighting strength. The fan is so much quieter than my old hood, even on the highest setting. It also works very effectively.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well built product. I hope it will give me many years of service.
A comment regarding the design of the light fixture: The fixture is a bare bulb design without a glass cover. My concern is that the grease vapor from the cook top will accumulate behind the bulb which makes it hard to clean the recessed area where the bulb is screwed in. A glass cover below the bulb would have been easier to clean.

Horrible! And no longer manufactured!

We got this installed in our new home in 2017 and within 2 years the knobs starting getting wobbly and not working. And not the vents won't pop back in after a washing. Good bye, GE. I'm heading over to Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HOOD VENT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did not know all the pluses of this vent hood until we actually had it installed and running!!! The lighting is what my wife loves about it. Lights up the whole stove top for easy to see what is cooking and then there is a lower beam light that we use as a night light. And this is only a part of the quality of the vent hood. It has a very strong vent that keeps the smoke and orders at the minamal. We are pleased with this GE purchase.

Motors dying after 2 years

This hood worked really well and was reasonably quite for the excellend CFM performance.
However after two years of household use the two internal blower motors started making unbearable noise due to a bearing problem. Unfortunately, after taking the motors out and seeing the bearings could not be replaced, I realized that replacing the motors at close to the cost of the entire hood is a very costly option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
