Dropped in Lake Run & over by Car in Winter

This has been a great case for me. I'm not careful with my iPhone. Pro: It's durable. I dropped my iPhone in a lake at a cottage. Saw it in the lake, under the dock, over 8 hours later at about 7 feet depth--when I got it back the phone worked right after being in the water. Then, dropped it in the snow one winter evening in the gym parking lot--came back the next morning and it had tire tread marks on it and snow. Turned it on--it worked. Con: bulky. That's how it keeps your phone safe.

Wears out easily

I used to love the Lifeproof Fre cases. They were durable and could survive anything and everything, not to mention the customer service was amazing and would replace the case for free if you had any issues.
It seems that this iteration is extremely cheap, the high touch areas, silence button, volume buttons and the rubber next to the lighting port have all worn down and come off on my original and the replacement case they sent me all within about 8 months of regular use (also they now charge you shipping for the replacement cases in USD which converts to being much higher in CDN currency, still cheaper than buying a new case but it's cost close to $125 at this point)
If you don't need the waterproof features, I would look for a different product as this case will definitely wear out on you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used it in my last three phones and I have dropped my phones many many times without an issue. Whenever I upgrade to a new phone my old phone I donate because it is still in good working order

Bought for crew member to keep phone alive in construction environments. After losing phones in septic pits, losing them in the snow, phones being run over by heavy equipment, and phones dropped in water, we decided to get a LifeProof case to preserve the phone.
So far, its doing the job!
