After having my brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 covered with a Commuter Otterbox ithe phone body-back was cracked. This was discovered because I had to replace a SIM card which required taking the case of the phone. Not a happy camper

I purchased this case for my Note 8 about 2 weeks ago. I am a HUGE OtterBox fan and have purchased many cases over many years with no problems. Unfortunately, I have encountered a problem for the first time. The inside rubber sleeve is deformed and does not completely surround the phone. There is a noticable gap between the phone and the case. I have high expectations and expect OtterBox to fix this issue for future cases.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this case because I've used Otterbox before and I trust them to protect my phone. The case I received works great and my phone feels very secure. I ordered the Indigo Way color option because I liked the look of the grey hard shell over the blue rubber. What arrived however, was a dark blue hard shell over a blue rubber insert. In the future if I order another Otterbox I probably won't trust anything other than a solid black option to be accurate.

Case doesn't cover the left and right hand side of the screen, because of the curve screen i presume. So if you drop your phone face down, it will hit the screen!

Case is tough and slim. Fits in picket like advertised. The phone is big so the case does well on preventing adding size to phone. 3 down sides it is hard to get s pen out. And some charging cables require case to be removed when charging. You canmot wireless charge with case on

This case is great for protecting the Note 8 but there are two things to point out:
1. It is hard to get on and off.
2. I am not a fan of the flaps covering the mic and power ports. Its tricky trying to plug in your phone as the flaps pop back up.
3. I tried to use an external battery to power up the Note 8 but the case was so thick that I could not fit the adapter into the port without taking the case off.
