I was looking for a normal crock pot when I saw this. It was the perfect size and have never had an appliance. When I got home I noticed the big bonuses. It boils eggs, steams vegetables and a lot more. It also looks great!! The control buttons are so intuitive that I didn't need a users guide. There is absolutely no cons about this cooker. Kitchen Aid did it right again and they did it in retro style!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I do love all the cooking modes allowing you to do everything in the same pot from sauteing to slow cooking. The ceramic insert is so easy to pull out and clean.
Great for soups, stews, and wings. Can't think of anything I cook that would not work in this cooker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used this for 2 things so far - making a pot roast and a breakfast casserole. Was great to sear the roast and cook as a slow cooker all in one. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, the rack is too small for a decent sized roast so I didn't use it and the settings could be better. If you want to change setting - say to lower temperature, once it reaches that setting, you have to enter start again.

Purchased it for my family over the holidays. My first time use was a huge success! I cooked a Deep Dish pizza. Turned out amazing. My wife uses it quite often to make pasta meals. Really easy to brown meat, add sauce and noodles. It replaces having to use the range to prep other items. A definite A+!
