thought about purchasing this for a while as I don't need another kitchen appliance but then decided to, I absolutely love it, great for yogurt, makes the best jambalaya. My favorite is using it during these hot summer days and not having it heat up the kitchen.

I bought this because I thought it would make risotto much easier to prepare. It definitely is perfect for risotto. I am sure I will experiment with new combinations for my risotto. The other thing that worked great with this multi cooker was French onion soup. It turned out just perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for a double recipe, and was extremely surprised that the meal fit with room to spare! The various temp. levels and timer were easy to use, and unit remained cool to touch throughout 7 hours of cooking!

I have had this a couple of years. I got both the Multi Cooker and the Stir Tower together. I've used the stir tower TWICE, so that was a waste of money. However, I have used the multi cooker about two times a week on average. I love it for a rice cooker! And I put the steamer basket over the rice as it cooks and it steams my veggies at the same time. I don't like the slow cooker mode so I use the "set the temperature" mode for slow cooking. Yes, the ceramic pot chips. I have polka dots all in my insert. Eh. I just asked for a new insert as a Christmas present. It's been up in the appliance cabinet for 7 months and I still haven't used it yet... I use silicone, plastic and wood utensils, so I know it's not me. It's a design flaw that KitchenAid needs to fix.

This has taken my cooking to a whole new level! I usually make dinner while my kids are doing homework and I'm trying to wrap up my work day. It's crazy time! So, I'd gotten away from cooking and was making quick serve (unhealthy) food. With the multi-cooker, though, I'm able to make my favorites again! I can throw in a few ingredients, set a timer and do homework or whatever, throw in the rest and 20 minutes later it's dinner time! The family is thrilled and so am I. This is my favorite new appliance!
