I received this Multi cooker for Christmas and now I use it everyday. For those of you who cook on a gas stove as I do will understand what an advantage it is to be able to put something in this pot to sauté or simmer, set the timer and walk away. I make soup, pasta sauces, fajitas and just about anything else that you routinely cook on your stove top. It cleans up very easy and the timer literally make it so that you can set it and forget it. I also love the keep warm feature.... It keeps it at perfect eating temp. I also love the way it looks on my counter.... A beautiful Candy apple red!

I bought this to replace my old Crock Pot slow cooker. I absolutely LOVE this multi-cooker. It can be used as a slow cooker and so much more. It is easy to operate and clean. I also purchased the stir station attachment with it. I will be using this for years to come. I cannot say enough good things about it.

I bought the KitchenAid Multi-Cooker three weeks ago and I have used it a minimum of 3/week since then. I have used every function except the one for risotto and I have to say, I am totally IMPRESSED. I have been eyeing this multi-cooker since it was introduced and I am so glad I finally bought it. I love it!! This appliance does everything it is advertised to do with such great results. Being able to sear and saute in the same pot is a definite plus. Additionally, the learning curve needed to operate the unit is very low, even for those who may have trouble following instructions.

I've used the Multi-Cooker a number of times and find it to be a great product. I've all but eliminated the need to use pots and pans. I use it for everything. The bowl is easy to clean. I purchased the stainless steel model and find it difficult to keep clean as everything stains. I do have a suggestion for Kitchen aid.. why not include a cover for the heating element when removing the bowl with the stir tower attached? The tower usually has food on it and it tends to drip onto the heating element. The cover could have a dual purpose of keeping food warm in the bowl and used to keep food off the element.

I Have Almost Forgotten that I Have a Stovetop Still

After a year of fawning over it, I received the Multicooker for Christmas from my boyfriend. I downloaded the ecookbook and started following Kitchenaid on Pintrest to get some ideas and have been using it non-stop since. So far I have made four official Kitchenaid recipes: lamb stew, pot roast, chocolate pudding, and peanut butter granola. But with all of the settings and temperature control, it is super easy to adjust other recipes and the Multicooker makes everything faster and easier to make. (Easy poached eggs? Yes please.)
The Multicooker now has a perminent spot on my counter for daily use.

I am a slow/rice/multi-cooker skeptic. I've had great experiences (Sanyo), annoying experiences (Sanyo having discontinued the inserts for my ancient rice cooker. C'mon people you build these things to last, let me have a new insert!), and outright miserable experiences (Aroma with two utterly useless multi-cookers.) So I ordered the KitchenAid with fingers crossed because after 15+ years the old cooker was creaking and the insert was shot.
Wow. I mean it, just wow. This is some terrific multi-cooker. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, it has phenomenal flexibility, it heats up fast, and once it's turned off it cools down fast as well, so that within 10 minutes of turning it off, I can handle the insert without pot holders. It's fantastically easy to clean, it has a pour spout -- why did no one else think of a pour spout?? -- the ceramic coating is so utterly non-stick that I could chase a fried egg around the bottom trying to corner it.
Specifically, I love the sear and sautee settings. Other cookers promise those features without remotely delivering, but the KitchenAid does exactly what it says it will do and does it well. The first thing I made in the pot was Salisbury steaks, and the sear on each side took exactly 3-minutes and was beautifully caramelized and crusty, and added great depth of flavor to the finished product. I can't wait to try caramelizing onions in this thing.
The only drawback for me is that I'm finding the controls a little counter-intuitive. I keep thinking I've set the thing properly and can walk away, but I'll come back an hour later to stir and find the light flashing. It's on, it's hot, but the timer isn't counting down. It's a small thing and it's up to me to learn how to set it.
I love the retro look of it, as if it's been sent forward in time from some mad scientist's lair in the thirties. All things considered, I think I can uncross my fingers now.
