Significant upgrade over LG Vista

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been slow to adopt newest technologies evidenced by owning an LG Vista for just over two years (my 1st smartphone). The vista was fine for my needs, email on the go, texting & significant work related calls throughout the US only with minimal apps other than those for travel & very periodic sports streaming. I have not had the need for video or tv program streaming until I decided to bite the bullet & pay for the significant upgrade to the LG V30 in Nov. 2017. Hard to imagine the significant upgrade of the phone over what I thought was an excellent LG phone. The web surfing even when I am at home with access to wifi is a significant upgrade which I don't attribute to my carrier as I compared my LG V30 with similar phones when friends visit on the same carrier as we have. Streaming music & video is now a must have event because the LG V30 is an amazing device. The Bluetooth connections were instantaneous & even the periodic wired connection to my music streaming is a HUGE difference over the vista. The capacity for apps is a cavernous 64K & the added capability of the SD mini card to increase video & music storage is a huge advantage over the Google Pixel which was my kids' choice. The USB - C plugin was a temporary concern since I had used only mini - USB plugs previously, but not being concerned with which direction the USB - C plug goes in is a refreshing change. Hope all phone manufacturers are paying attention to this minor but constant annoyance solved by the USB - C. Can't say enough about this phone other than Apple should learn that cool advertising alone doesn't do it for hard core business travelers like me. Give me processing speed, large capacity for apps, expandability through the SD cards & durable connecting cords with options for wireless charging anyday.

All around great phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been an LG fan, the increasing technology combined with ease of use keeps me coming back. The V30 is by far LG's best model to date. The camera has been upgraded and now takes the most beautiful photos and videos in many styles and ways. The battery life is excellent and the new V30 has so many ways to customize the phone to suit you. I positively LOVE the facial recognition lock and how I was able to set it to my face and then adjust it to also recognize my face with my glasses on or off. The comfort view, hi-fi quad DAC; I honestly can not find one thing to complain about with the V30. Great phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I fell in love with the V30 as soon as I held it in my hands! Great video features, lightweight, and durable. Only downside is that I wish the display would stay on longer when dialing those toll free number so with the automated answering service. Other than that no complaints. Battery gets me through a whole day. Fingerprint sensor is extremely fast and responsive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first LG. Been a Galaxy user for my past 3 phones, but this was 33% cheaper than the s8. Glad I chose this. Its super fast and lots of memory (I have the V30+), good battery life, wireless charging as well. Also a very easy transition from using Galaxies. Its water resistant and also has the MIL STD 810G, and I drop my phone a LOT. Coupled with a nice Unicorn Beetle holster case and I expect it should be quite durable.
The sound system is really great, perfect for me as I listen to a lot of music. The V30+ comes with nice Bang & Olufsen ear buds that for in the ear nicely and sound really good with the DAC HiFi sound system.
All in all, after about a month, I am quite pleased.
