OLED screen is perfect, speed is great, good 4G

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OLED screen on my phone is perfect, even when I dim it down all the way, the colors and dimming are uniform. The processor in this phone is great because the speed of the menus, and speed loading applications is better than my old phone. The QUAD DAC for the sound and the headphone jack were a MUST for me, and that's what led me to purchase this phone over its competitors. I also want to narrow my comments down to its function as a phone itself. The call volume and clarity are great. I have not had any dropped calls, the 4G reception is great, and overall has been extremely reliable. There is one thing LG dropped the ball on, which is no IR blaster like the V20. This component is so small, it would have been easy to incorporate this into the phone! Shame on the designer for this one flaw!!! Other than that, they did a great job.
Pros: Performance, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the LG V30 for a month now and I am very impressed with the battery life. I use thebphone pretty heavily throughout the day and always have battery left at the end of the day. The camera is also very good with impressive advanced features.

Solid All-Rounder, Awesome Audio

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking at new phones and you're not especially fond of glitter, the LG V30 might be a solid option. The smartphone doesn't offer much in the way of innovative gimmicks, but what it does have is a firm grip on the basics; it'll make a delight of the everyday tasks you use your phone for. And all its performance and technical considerations are up to snuff, placing the LG V30 comfortably into the ring with other top phones like Galaxy, iPhone, and Pixel. The features you find in the LG V30 are relatively understated compared to competitors mobile devices, focusing instead on subtle creature comforts and impeccable essentials. For example, the V30 includes specialized technology which allows LG to boast some of the best audio playback available from a mobile phone. Built into the UI is also a floating bar option, which can be used to quickly jump to favorite apps and utilities without returning to the home screen. It's rated highly durable and water resistant. The screen is high quality and dominates the face of the phone, making good use of space in terms of design. Inside the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, just like every other top smartphone at the moment. There's also a battery which lasts about a day even if you manage to spend 3 lunch hours playing games. It has a headphone jack, a competitively-speaking-totally-adequate 16MP camera, -what more do you need? It uses the newer chargers that Android phones are using these days, which will let you charge faster but may reduce your chances of bumming your buddy’s charger for a little while. All in all, the LG V30 is a phone that excels at being basic. For many, basic isn't enough; but for those of us looking for overall satisfaction, it's just what we're looking for.

Quick Response Time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the screen, but wish the volume was louder when using the speaker phone, and regular volume could of been better. Great battery, hardly ever have to charge! Wish there were 2 speakers. But it's a great phone for everything else, camera is great! So is video! Beautiful look to the entire phone! Wish LG would come out with a Gorilla Glass Screen protector that is FLAT!! That would just go to the edge of the screen before the slight curve starts. The curved one just pops off all the time, so it's useless, Verizon said a lot of customers have returned them for falling off too easy. I'm used to having a screen protector, so I hope they fix this. The LG V30 is a great fit for my arthritic hands, as it's thinner and is lightweight, which is a relief from my LG V10. This LG V30 also has a great response time when multitasking between apps and games etc. And my LG V10 used to get very warm just charging, and then got hot playing a game for only 10 minutes. This new LG V30 doesn't get warm at all, and has never gotten hot playing games, so that's a big difference! So all in all a great phone, and I'm happy with it so far!

Just the phone I want and need
on November 17, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My priorities for this phone purchase is more than just a new and faster communication device.
I want a phone with a great camera system and a high fidelity music player for me to spend time with during the long overseas flight. I also need memory expansion capability in order to store my photos and music.
The LG VS996 (V30) is the exact model that meets all my requirements.
The camera system is almost equal to my Lumix GX850 and the music through a high quality head phone is equivalent to my DAC player.
The performance of this LG V30 is simply beyond my expectation.
