Great phone, alright camera!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this phone after eagerly awaiting its release for a few months. The primary motivator for me were the excellent features the phone offered: IP68 waterproofing, expandable memory, fantastic display, and most importantly a headphone jack. All together these features make for an almost perfect device. The one area where I feel that this phone is lacking somewhat is in the camera department. While in well lit environments the phone is capable of taking FANTASTIC photos, as soon as you lose a bit of light, the phone starts to struggle, and photos start coming through as grainy. I'm hoping that LG will be able to rectify some of this with future software updates (fingers crossed).
Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase, and the only reason I dinged this phone 1 star is due to the camera performance in low light situations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many smart phones over the years starting with an Audiovox 6600 in the early 2000s to finally this phone. First off the only thing so far that I do not like is that the app drawer is off by default. You can turn this back on in the launcher settings but personal opinion I hate not having the app drawer standard. Now from that.
The camera is fantastic. The automatic settings are average but this phone shines once you use the manual settings with the camera. Pictures and videos are clear and detailed. The save lag is minimal and barely noticed. The only issue I have with it is that I have not been able to figure out how to get camcorder mode to show when in manual mode on the camera.

The screen...Curved screens are the thing now. They have an issue where screen protectors don't fit the curves very well and tend not to stay on or have a dome effect. Besides this issue the screen is sharp and consistent in its image. I have seen complaints of problem but I have personally not experienced any of the screen issues.
THE DAC. the reason I chose this phone. Not only does it have a headphone jack which is a plus but it also has a killer dac. The quality of the audio that can be pumped into both premium and cheap headphones is amazing and the level of detail. I do hope in the future that LG has a patch that can up the loudness abit as the audio level is a little low but that should not keep you from this phone.
Battery. Zero complaints on the battery. It seems they did some deep dark voodoo action that lets this battery pull energy from the universe. I have never run out of battery. I do not play mobile games but I do have a personal email account, a work email account, and various other apps running. I use this phone as a camera and camcorder and with having 5 kids let me tell you it gets a workout.
I would heavily recommend a case and a wet applied screen protector for this phone. They are cheap simple things that can help keep this device from breaking. I have dropped this phone a couple of times with zero damage but accidents do happen.

Great features with no complaints so far! It has only been a month but each day I am finding new features to make my life easier. Thanks for a great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That phone is very good phone, it has one of the best video cams on a phone hands down and the experience is just amazing. Lg has always been the king at making real innovation in products in which they always stand by. The screen on this phone looks and feels like a mini flat screen tv in your hand which is kind of the blue print for most phones lately. The audio quality on this phone is the best in the business I mean when I put on headphones it sound how the artis invented it to sound with no destortion or uneven sounds. This is an all in on device that I’m sure you would be glad to buy and hopefully I hope this give future customers an ideas of what a great phone should be like....
