[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the V30S for it's signature knock on and audio DAC. It still had an audio 3.5mm jack that's very flexible. It seldom freezes and the battery is sufficient.
It truly sucks today there have been zero security updates since I purchased the phone last Summer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this phone a few weeks now and am still getting used to it. Being a Motorola fan for a long time I decided to try this LG because my wife has the same phone. So far I am happy with the battery life. The screen sharpness is amazing along with the camera. I have to give this device a thumbs up so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The V30 is a good phone, but I am a year in and flaws are beginning to show. As I type this I have sent my phone in for warranty service through the two year warranty program, which was a nice perk... and necessary, as you will see.
The good: The cameras are great, manual controls, focus and wide angle are excellent. The phone looks good and performs well and music sounds great on a wired connection to my headset.
The bad: After a year, the screen developed issues. If I was looking at it in bed or in a dark room and the backlight was on the lowest setting for longer than a couple of minutes, dull red crosshatching would form in the black areas of the screen... it didn't effect performance but it looked bad and was irritating.
Battery life decreased. It's just natural that the battery would get worn out after a year of use but I really loved the battery swap capability of previous LG phones. This is the first phone I have ever had that I could not swap the battery on. I realize that the industry is going that way, and that there are definite benefits to not having removable batteries... but I miss that feature from the G3 and G4... and even from the G5, god rest it's glitchy soul.
Bluetooth also got flaky. This is kind of a big thing for me, all of my peripherals are bluetooth and I frequently listen to audiobooks and music. On a daily basis I connect to a Gear S3 smartwatch, a Level U headset and a Yamaha MCR-B020 stereo. Over the past couple of months the phone would disconnect from any of the three and only reconnect to the Gear S3. Then I would have to disconnect the watch, connect to the other device, and reconnect to the watch. Despite hard resets, deleting and reconnecting to all devices and completely wiping the phone, these issues persist.
There is also an issue with the always-on display where the display always shows whichever bluetooth device last connected to or disconnected from it instead of the clock and notifications. After trying to fix it for a week I just turned off the always-on display.
I am hoping that the warranty work fixes these issues. That would cause me to add a star for the whole experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased only a few days ago,far exceeded my expectations.
This is a phone that I bought last year. Till today, it still hold up nicely. Battery life is great. Phone is fast. The two things that I am not so satisfied with are 1. ocassional hiccup of CPU, and 2. Screen appears green when viewing from side. Overall, it is still worth buying even for today.
I would recommend this to a friend!
