Needed a Bright Projector

I was looking for a bright projector and decided to go with this 5000 lumens projector. I have a ViewSonic monitor and love it so I decided to try their projectors as well. ViewSonic definitely delivers quality products. I love how bright the projector is and I've been using it for a home theater setup. Projects nicely even during day time. I have a couple of windows in my living room so I needed the brightness.

Great Projector! Super Bright!

This projector is super bright! With more than 5000 lumens, I can use this projector during the day with all my windows open. For people who watch sports or TV during the day time, I would recommend this projector as a TV replacement.

Not reliable. Keeps shutting off

The unit has a great picture and is heavy. If you are transporting the unit, I recommend you get a well padded solid case (or use the unit box) to protect it. HOWEVER, I am not impressed with the unit's reliability I have used it a total of 8 times (17 hours total) and it shut down in the middle of using it twice!! I was presenting to a group that I do volunteer work for and they were all unimpressed! For the $ I expected it would be reliable. I contact ViewSonic. They are sending me a replacement unit however I hope the quality of the replacement unit is better than this one! I would have bought a competitor's unit if I knew this would happen!
