Works great

I bought this to replace a thru-the-wall unit. Had quite a bit of work to get the sleeve installed but, when that was right, the unit went right in and works great. Front face was cracked on arrival and they sent -express- a replacement. Remote works great as well.

Does the Trick

I am very pleased with this AC. It works great and does the job better than I expected because the area to cool is large. Since the wall sleeve is fixed and the current is 115, I was skeptical as to how efficient it would be. It works great and cools everything down the way it should.

a defect one?

I bought this a month ago, installed following all the instructions. Once turn it on, the compressor works about 15 seconds then stop, fan starts for a few minutes, then compressor starts again, just repeat this cycle, the compressor does not work constantly. It is set in cool model (not in the energy saving or fan only setting), and the room temperature is much higher than the setting temperature. Called the service, they can not figure it out either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid product

This is a solid air conditioner for it's price level. Cools quickly and effectively. The remote sensing feature seems odd (why can't the unit itself just sense the ambient temperature?). For being a newer model airconditioner, it's not very sleek or modern looking, which is disappointing.

Does the job but doesn't always work right.

It cools the space well, but it's a little noisy (makes a rattling sound sometimes). And the auto & economy settings don't seem to work properly; the unit turns on to cool, runs for about 10 seconds, then shuts off. It does this repeatedly while on those settings. On regular "Cool" it works fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

During the “auto” and “econ” mode, the fan will continue to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. Love the remote

I bought this toward the end of summer because my old wall-mounted air conditioner might go out at anytime. It cools my living room, dining room, and kitchen area quite well. I appreciate having the remote control that shows the current room temperature and adjusts the fan and temperature settings easily.
