Absolutely Love This Range

After using this range for several months now I can say that it is AWESOME. I cook multiple meals or bake nearly everyday and this range performs beautifully. Switching to electric from gas, I was worried, however, the burners heat up amazingly quick. There was only a slight learning curve regarding turning the heat down soon enough vs turning the heat down on gas so as not to overcook something in a skillet. I must say the burners work wonderfully, very quick to heat up and cool down. Very easy to clean using the Cerama Bryte, it's sponge, then a paper towel to sop up the remaining cleaner and debris, rinse it out with water then wipe once with watered paper towel and I finish it off with a microfiber cloth. Needless to say, this cook-top is kept much cleaner than my old gas range. Convection baking works wonderfully allowing me to utilize all 3 oven racks simultaneously. I love the porcelain coated self cleaning racks and have used the steam-clean feature. I failed to put a cookie sheet beneath baking sweet potatoes so ended up with pools of burnt sugar on the bottom of the oven. The steam clean option didn't totally eliminate the black piles of burnt sugar, but certainly helped to loosen them so that I could clean them up completely. The oven and range controls work intuitively except for the timer which for example: 24:00 is not equal to 24 minutes, it's 24 hours. But that was a quick learn. My only complaint is that due to the varying sizes of burners, some being a single burner vs the front right one having 3 different size options, is that I tend to intuitively turn the knobs up or down kind of by feel, and since the distance between low and high is different depending on if that knob controls a single burner or up to 3 sometimes I don't get the knob turned as far as I should or vice versa, it really requires looking at the numbers to see what you're turning it to. Also, on the front right burner, which has the small, medium, or large burner option, there have been times that I've had the burner turned to "Small size -Low" when I meant to have it on "Medium size -High" because there's not a strong indication with the knob that you're switching between the small and medium burners. Same thing when I've intended to have it on "Large size- High" it's actually been on "Medium size- Low" so you just have to be very sure if you have the selector on the small/medium/ or large burner. However, that is a small price to pay in order to have such flexible cooking options. And the power boil seriously brings things to a boil quickly. Yesterday we made a huge pot of beef broth for Pho and the range was in use for the entire day. Also, the oven really keeps in the heat even after being turned off. This oven does not heat up the entire kitchen. The broiler works wonderfully as well. I like the storage drawer, it is sturdier than many others and slides much smoother than others that we saw on ranges in the stores, although as another reviewer mentioned, it's tricky to put back in once you remove it. Overall, this range has never disappointed me. It cooks wonderfully, and I LOVE the edge to edge glass top, so easy to get completely clean and no weird seams for gunk build-up. Plus it just gives an overall feeling of spaciousness to the range. I did utilize both front and back left burners the other night using a griddle of sorts, and it was kind of messy with grease splatters but worked well, cooking onions and mushrooms on the back and hamburgers in the front area. Overall this is an excellent range. Absolutely love it.

So far, I like it

Our white Whirlpool appliances that came with our house were about 20 years old. The big burner on my range went out, so we decided to replace all of our kitchen appliances with stainless steel. I'm not a huge fan of stainless, but I know it's better for home re-sale value. When I started researching, I knew my biggest requirement was I wanted TWO big burners! (Actually, I really wanted to go to gas, but spouse said running a gas line would be expensive.) So I was thrilled to see the flexibility of the two small/large flex burners, AND - since I couldn't have gas - the FIFTH burner! Most ranges, the fifth burner is just a warming spot, but this model - it's a full burner! Also, I get frustrated that I can't, e.g. fry four steaks at once, so a big reason I picked this model was the two "bridge" burners, which will be great for griddle usage (steaks, pancakes, etc.) Finally, I read up on convection (and induction) ovens, and decided I had to upgrade my cooking and get a true (dual fan) convection oven. I LOVE that I have three oven racks, that I can put things on all three racks at once and everything cooks and browns evenly! Two pizzas at once! So what I wanted and love about this model: fully functional fifth burner, two “bridge” burners, two flex small/big burners, burner knobs (vs. touchpad), true convection oven, three oven racks, covered oven heating elements for easy cleaning. I wanted “auto conversion”, where you punch in the “normal” temperature and time to cook, and it converts the time and temp based on convection. The specs say this model has that, but I haven’t figured it out yet. (But I haven’t overcooked anything yet!)
I haven't yet tried the "conventional" bake setting for cakes, etc. I've only had it for 6 weeks, so still learning, but so far, I love the new functionality and features. Only downsides - while I didn't want touchpads, the knobs are a little over-the-top in size. And I hate glass cook tops! Our white Whirlpool glass top was gray and a little textured? This smooth, black glass cook top is SOOO hard to get and keep clean! And design-wise, I’m still trying to get used to so much black. Also, the bottom storage drawer is a little smaller than my previous one. The range light is set back a little too far to really help see what’s on front of stove. But overall, based on the features I wanted, I’m really happy with this model.

Good product but with some cheap plastic parts

We just our GE kitchen suite - This range, above range GE Profile microwave, and GE top freezer refrigerator (because the Profile was too deep). The range is good. Has worked well for the past 3 days we've had it. But the bottom drawer slide broke! We removed the drawer to adjust the height. When we put it back in the soft close mechanism broke. We took a close look and saw it was just plastic that got bent. It's disappointing the GE would cut corners on quality like this. We are hoping to get it repaired/replaced without further cost to us.

Disappointed

Just received this Range 3 days ago and within that time, the Convection fan stopped working. Heard a loud bang than nothing. It also seems that whomever wired the Hot Burner lights on the glass top did it incorrectly. When the bottom right burner is on, the top left light states that burner is hot. If you turn on the top right burner, the bottom left light comes on. Middle burner shows the bottom middle light. Doesn't GE have a Quality Assurance department to ensure that the Ranges are made correctly?

I’ve had my range a month and I cook everyday. I like the hidden coil,in the oven. The top is slightly harder to clean than my last stove but it’s not a big deal. The oven is my favorite part. The burners heat up quickly which is really nice.

I am happy with stove so far. Love the WiFi and convection cooking. The only down side is that the top is harder to clean than my last GE black top.
