Since my wife and I already have one, we decided that one of our grandsons would benefit greatly from it. He does a lot of hunting and fishing and he has told us that it was one of the most thoughtful gifts he had ever received. We also included some extra rolls , both the *" and 11", so that he could get started right away. The day after we gave it to him he killed a deer and is now in the process of cleaning, butchering and packaging it for the freezer. In retrospect, he thought that the timing could not have been better. We are sure he will enjoy the product as much as we have enjoyed our unit.

Vacuum packing is the perfect way to freeze food.

Long term freezer storage is the best way to keep your wild game, deer, elk meat. It isalso perfect for freezing fish for 1-2 years without frreezer burn! It is highly recommended. We cut up our own wild game meat and steelhead, salmon, halibut, ling cod. Vacuum packing keeps it for a long, long time in the freezer. It thaws out just like fresh food....This method is EXCELLENT!

Easy to purchase rolls and have on hand

I am married to a hunter so my FoodSaver is used for several hours at a time. We have frozen and dried meat to share with family. Also, customer service is great when needed.

I use this size all the time; it's great for individually frozen burgers, chicken breasts, etc. It's also the best "bang for the buck."

We are retired and the money it saves us by making large quantities and freezing it in small packages is fantastic. This is my 2nd machine. I find I used it almost daily.

Very versatile food storage system

We buy the rolls because we freeze variable-sized portions of meats, etc. and the rolls gives us the flexibility to create just the right size. The rolls are made of durable plastic that holds up well in the freezer after sealing, prevents freezer burn and resists tears. Like the rolls!
