A little disappointed...

Not being able to see a floor model, we purchased this oven by a catalog. I didn't realize that it had a rounded top, which is where I keep some cooking spices handy. It also doesn't seem to look "put together" right. There are gaps that are quite noticeable where the back is joined. The other negative is the timer sound. Being hard of hearing, I had to buy a new timer because the sound is not loud at all. The oven drawer is hard to open as there really isn't any place to grab in to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

useless drawer

bought it this week. bottom drawer is useless! once you put pots/pans in it, you can't open it. the indentation (handle) doesn't give you anything to grab onto.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The drawer should open by placing your fingers under the front edge of the drawer and pulling straight out. If you have difficulty sliding the drawer out, it may need to be removed and repositioned, to be sure it is properly aligned with the tracks. To review details, please see page 24 of the use and care guide, listed below:

Also, when placing pans in the drawer, be sure there is space above the highest part of the pans you place in the drawer. This will help to prevent them from touching the bottom part of the range that forms the ceiling of the drawer, which could block the drawer from opening.

I have to admit as a disabled Veteran it was easy for me to order online and receive a GE product that helps my disabilities by purchasing a self cleaning stove that i and any other Disabled veterans out there would be as happy as i am to receive this Self Cleaning product.
