The good and the bad

The good: larger window to stove; LED display. The bad: removing heating coils to clean pans underneath difficult [so-called instructions on-line hard to locate since you need parts number];drawer space under stove smaller than earlier models; lip on drawer so small it is easier to grab the drawer by both sides and pull.

Great oven!

Had the white one for the past 10 1/2 years and it finally gave out so we began changing our appliance colors and we didn’t want an flat electric oven. I really hope you guys and other companies don’t phase out the coil tops because the flat tops suck and we’re not the only ones who feel that way.

Very good basic stove with cheap, cheap drawer

This is a good, basic stove that does all we want it to do cookwise. Both stovetop and oven coils work well. Our primary complaint is that the storage drawer is CHEAP!. It is made of very light, flimsy sheet metal. It flexes a great deal and is difficult to slide in and out. On our prior stove, we used the drawer to store frequently used pots and pans. We have now put them elsewhere and use this drawer only for stuff we seldom need.
Installation and setup was easy except for leveling. Common sense would lead the manufacturer to ship the stoves with the legs set to be level on a level surface. Nope. This stove arrived with the front legs screwed all the way out and the rear legs screwed all the way in. Moreover, the front legs, which are reasonably accessible, have steel threads and turn easily by hand. The rear legs, which are very difficult to access, have plastic threads that bind and require a wrench to turn. Not good ergonomics. GE could have eliminated the entire problem by just shipping the stove with all of the legs set equally.

Good Basic Range

I have been using this range for few months now and love almost everything about it. It is easy to keep clean and so far all of the features work just fine. The only complaint I have is with the drawer on the bottom. It has no real handle to pull it out with and is a bit flimsy. I wanted to store my pot lids in it but it isn't strong enough and is really difficult to pull out. It finally came all the way out and fell on the floor. I emptied it and had a tough time putting it back in. I have since left it empty.
