Perfect if you have a family

I am an ex military chef. I do most of the cooking . It is a real bargain 5 burners 2 ovens. You cant go beat this deal.. The holidays are special here at my house. If you have a big family and like to prep this is perfect!

Beautiful Stove!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new stove and it looks beautiful! Love the double oven and is definitely handy with a dinner party and for baking Christmas cookies. I love that there is a center burner and the only downside are the grates on top as there are only two large ones so it is a bit awkward when trying to clean just under one burner as you have to remove one whole side which isn't a big deal and I am getting used to it, but definitely a learning curve if you are used to having separate grates as the grate is heavy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love This Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Maytag Gemini double oven in 2008 and have never looked back! So when the time came to replace it, there was no question. It had to be a double oven range. There are more options available today than there were in 2008, but Maytag stood the test of time, so it was my first choice. First and foremost, it is made in the USA. Should there be an issue years from now, the parts and service are readily available. My best surprise was it has a convention oven! I've just dipped my toe into baking and this is a plus! I love the large oval burner and the detachable griddle top to use on it. Making pancakes and French toast is so much easier. Again the design is thought through. The center oval burner doesn't take away from the size or space of the other burners. With the two ovens, I have more than enough room to bake, roast, broil or simply keep food warm as I make dinners for everyone. The convenience it offers is incredible. Overall, I'm pleased with my decision to get another Maytag Double Oven Gas Range. I'm looking forward to making great meals for my family and friends.

Great oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this about a month ago when we were doing a complete kitchen remodel. We love the double ovens. Everything cooks evenly. It has a nice professional look to it and is easy to keep clean. My son fell in love with the griddle feature and uses it daily.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there are 2 things that make it not perfect. 1) you can easily accidentally turn on the gas to the burners just by bumping into it. Several times I’ve smelled gas and noticed a knob just slightly off center. I’m not sure how this can happen, but it really should be changed so that doesn’t happen. 2) the back function panel is a bit annoying. The touch pad is difficult to use. You can’t just press on a pad and keep your finger down to advance settings, you have to keep pushing the pad. I feel like the panel will probably break down fairly quickly.
If Maytag can correct those 2 flaws in this stove it would definitely get 5 stars!!

Ignition issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this stove for about 6 weeks and while it looks amazing, the gas range has issues. The large burner always takes multiple attempts to light. The others can be finicky as well. We had a technician out last week and he said that these newer ranges all experience this issue. The gas leaves the burner at such a high velocity that it becomes harder to ignite. He was unable to remedy the situation. To me, it seems like something that should be easy to fix. It’s very annoying after spending so much on a new appliance. It’s like buying a new car and having trouble starting it every time you get in. It just shouldn’t be like that.

Works well but expected more

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove looks great - it's an updated version of an electric model I bought 12 years ago. I love the double oven feature. This one has one less shelf in the bottom oven portion which is disappointing. My stove does have some defects, however. There is a small dent on the side of the stove which was reported to Whirlpool by the delivery company. The pain on top of top is really wavy and looks like it was smudged up and then poorly recovered. The back panel of the range looks like it was installed improperly as the tabs are not tucked under the upper piece.

Love the True Convection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove was delivered around 12/04/2019. I really like it but the convection stove part is so far near the ground. As I age this might become a problem to use. Also setting the timer requires you to hold the up and down arrows down with a lot of pressure applied.
