Camper Signal Magnificance!

We have this installed on our Hideout travel trailer. The improvement to our AT&T cel signal both for phone calls and for enhancing the signal to our Netgear Nighthawk AT&T hotspot is a great improvement.

Increased signal and upload speed, but download speed slower

The Drive 4G-X RV was not totally appropriate for my small trailer. I had to order a second smaller inside antenna because of the limited distance I could get between the inside/outside antennas The booster increased the cell signal and the upload speed tested using OpenSignal app, but my download speed was slower than without using it?

Not good for small trailer

Purchased this for my Jayco 145RB trailer. I can't get enough separation between the inside/outside antennas. I purchased an additional small inside antenna as a work-around. Interestingly enough, the booster increases the signal Db, but the download speed (checked with Opensignal app) can be less that without the booster? The upload speed was generally 2X better. This was on ATT network Pretty expensive. Will get more datapoints on trip from NY to Texas

Works well on the road

I'd give it 5 stars if they made the device (indoor) antenna mountable for the RV. When in motion the table top antenna isn't a great idea. They provide some nice pieces to tidy up the cables and mount the outdoor antenna. Hardware is well made. Allows me to work while the RV is rolling even on remote highways across Texas.

Mixed review after using in Walden Colorado in RV

Install was pretty easy and straightforward on my Class A Dutch Star. I used the old TV antenna mount that I can crank up and down for extra height (I do not use the TV antenna). The inside antenna is on the kitchen counter, about a total of 15-20 feet from the outside antenna. When I first powered it up.. I went from about 118db to 95db-89db which is great (3-4 bars of LTE). I could make phone calls no problem. But checking basic emails was not happening, and loading any web page would stall immediately. Periodically, the signal would completely disappear (no signal), for about 2-3 hours.. then back to 3-4 bars of LTE. No oscillation according to the main unit (which says it will display a red light if this happens). I guess I expected to be able to load pages or check emails easily, especially with 3-4 bars of LTE. But being able to at least make a phone call if it's an emergency is still good to have. I boondock a lot in Moab and remote areas of Colorado, and usually have spotty signal with just the phone. Not sure if moving my outside antenna would make a difference, but I plan on making a higher extension for the crank antenna to place it another 12 inches above the old unused batwing, just for some off chance it was interfering with the weboost. (This is for the newest version of the RV model)

Needed a boost for our RV

We purchased this for our RV because more times than not, we have a hard time getting signal. It definitely helps the computer some, but it doesn't help our phones at all. Not sure what the deal is there, but am happy that it at least helps the computer.

Working as expected.

Got to use the booster for the first time this weekend. Went from a -102db before to a -92db with the booster. But I think may get better in a different location. Because we had a pretty good signal in the campground we were at before I turned on the booster. I'm hoping the next trip we will be in a more remote location and it will boost better. Thought I read somewhere that if the booster detects a stronger signal coming in it doesn't boost the signal as strong. I could be wrong. But so far it's doing the job. Oh also you do need to keep a minimum 6 foot distance between the two antennas. I did some experimenting and the further away the better gain I got on the signal.
