It works but not as well as I had hoped

The Weboost works but leaves much to be desired. The proximity you need to be to the internal antenna is extremely close. If you are more than a foot or two away from the internal antenna then the Weboost does not seem to receive or transmit data from your cell phone. In my unscientific tests it appears that if your cell phone is more than 3 feet away from the antenna there is no significant advantage to that over the standard cellular transmission. Another factor that is a disappointment is the length of the wire between the internal antenna and the basestation. In a normal size class A or class B Motorhome, the length of the wire prevent you from moving it from the front to the rear of the motor coach. One of the main reasons I purchased a Weboost was to have access to a cellular signal for my wife while I was driving. Because of the short length of cable it will not reach to the drivers compartment. There is no on off switch for the basestation. This means that the unit is drawing down battery power when you are dry camping where there is no available cellular signal to capture. I installed an in-line switch, but you would think this would be a standard feature for such a device.

Increased signal and upload speed, but download speed slower

The Drive 4G-X RV was not totally appropriate for my small trailer. I had to order a second smaller inside antenna because of the limited distance I could get between the inside/outside antennas The booster increased the cell signal and the upload speed tested using OpenSignal app, but my download speed was slower than without using it?

Soemtimes I see a slight improvement in 3G, but never o. 4G or LTE. Not worth the money.

Internal antenna lacking strength. VERY FRUSTRATING

I purchased this unit because, as a graphic designer, I sometimes need to send or receive digital files with clients. At certain points of the month it limited how much we could go camping. Now, for the most part I am able to work from the road without being disconnected. Where I do have an issue with this unit is with the internal antenna. The signal strength in my unit is very poor. It's supposed to have a 10' radius (which I think is too little), however mine has about a 2' radius. If my phone is not pretty much directly beside the antenna the signal falls away. Just last week we were n a campground and the phone showed 1 bar of 3G. When my unit was powered on with a green light there was no change until I put my phone directly beside the internal antenna, then the signal strength increased. As such, I can't leave the inside of my trailer if I am on a call and I can't work with my computer outside. It's very frustrating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Usually if the booster is not boosting the signal very well, it can be because there's very little signal to amplify in the area. If you're in a fringe area, you may have to have your phone next to the inside antenna for the phone to receive the boosted signal.
The more signal you have, the more the booster is able to cast the signal inside your vehicle, thus making your signal more powerful the closer you are to the inside antenna.

This product work as intended, we reached for 2 bars to 4 bars. In areas where we don't usually had signal now we have. I test in other places, and without the boost uninstalled had -107db to -87db with the boost installed. I recomend. Good inversion.

I use my weboost out in the country. It's installed in my 1976 Airstream. The advertising was a little misleading. I thought the model I purchased had a longer range on the inside antenna, but it is only about 5 ft. It would be nice if the inside antenna could reach out farther. My trailer is 32'
