Mixed review after using in Walden Colorado in RV

Install was pretty easy and straightforward on my Class A Dutch Star. I used the old TV antenna mount that I can crank up and down for extra height (I do not use the TV antenna). The inside antenna is on the kitchen counter, about a total of 15-20 feet from the outside antenna. When I first powered it up.. I went from about 118db to 95db-89db which is great (3-4 bars of LTE). I could make phone calls no problem. But checking basic emails was not happening, and loading any web page would stall immediately. Periodically, the signal would completely disappear (no signal), for about 2-3 hours.. then back to 3-4 bars of LTE. No oscillation according to the main unit (which says it will display a red light if this happens). I guess I expected to be able to load pages or check emails easily, especially with 3-4 bars of LTE. But being able to at least make a phone call if it's an emergency is still good to have. I boondock a lot in Moab and remote areas of Colorado, and usually have spotty signal with just the phone. Not sure if moving my outside antenna would make a difference, but I plan on making a higher extension for the crank antenna to place it another 12 inches above the old unused batwing, just for some off chance it was interfering with the weboost. (This is for the newest version of the RV model)

Thank you for writing a review on the use of our product! We apologize that you're experiencing issues with the unit that you purchased. We would like to help you see if you can get LTE to work, most likely there's an issue with the LTE outside since the booster repeats and increses what's happening outside. Mostly this might be happening due to a poor signal outside since you're starting with a very low signal. We can do some more tests to see that's happening on the LTE side of things, but at least you're able to make calls with the booster where you're not able to. If you would like, you can call us at 866-294-1660 or reach us on our online support at http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new We are happy to help you find a solution if possible! Thank you again fro your review and we hope to hear from you soon.

Tested weboost with ATT, Verizon, and T-mobile

I took a 2 month trip from NY to Texas to Florida and back at the beginning of the year. I tested the Weboost 4G-X-RV with Verizon, ATT, and T-mobile at all the places I boondocked/camped. I tested both an omni and yagi external antenna. The results were interesting. I learned a couple of things: 1st, DB isn't a very useful metric. I used the Speedtest app to check upload/download speeds. You can have great DB, but a crowded/lousy cell tower. After all, how fast you can download or upload a video is what makes the booster useful. 2nd, there was no best network. All three major networks were better at some places. A good portion of the time, the unboosted signal had a better download speed than boosted. Upload speeds were always better with the booster. 3rd, The yagi takes time to set up (and can't be used while driving). In really remote areas with no signal, the opensignal app didn't always give a direction. So you had to hunt for the tower. At one place on the Texas coast, I could only get a connection with the yagi antenna. Most of the time, the extra effort to put up the yagi wasn't worth the effort. The omni antenna provided similiar upload/download speeds. I have a small 14.5' trailer and I had to use the small candy bar antenna instead of the one provided with the RV kit. Since I couldn't get the required separation (getting green leds during boot-up). Weboost was definitely worth having. But having multiple carriers is also important!

I had the outside antenna professionally installed. And . connected the other elements myself. When done plugged it in and got the green light so that I knew that it was installed properly. When I turn it on and off I get very little difference in my cell service, at most one bar.

I use it on my 40ft 5th wheel trailer when I go places that don't have that great of cell phone reception. It does work. I don't know the extent when in super low cell service areas because I haven't been back to that area yet to try it out. I do know it works where I have used it. I would go from 1-2 bars LTE to 4-5 bars of LTE. I am curious to see how it would work when I have super low service like 1x or 3g service to see if it improves it significantly. It was very easy to set up. I didn't have to install to much because I have quad shield satellite connections on the outside of my trailer and I just run the cable through that and to the inside. my one complaint is that it only boosts signal within about 7 feet of the internal antenna. When you have 40 feet of trailer and you need to be by the inside antenna to make it boos signal.

Got to use the booster for the first time this weekend. Went from a -102db before to a -92db with the booster. But I think may get better in a different location. Because we had a pretty good signal in the campground we were at before I turned on the booster. I'm hoping the next trip we will be in a more remote location and it will boost better. Thought I read somewhere that if the booster detects a stronger signal coming in it doesn't boost the signal as strong. I could be wrong. But so far it's doing the job. Oh also you do need to keep a minimum 6 foot distance between the two antennas. I did some experimenting and the further away the better gain I got on the signal.

My wife has just go a mew job working for a software company remotely. It's a great job with a great company. They don't care where she is when she works as long as she gets the job done. We like to travel in our motorhome and have decided to try to find the technology that would allow us to occasionally hit the road while she works. I did quite a bit of research and found very good info on the 4G-X-RV. We have had it for about a month and have taken a few short trips. It has worked flawlessly and has boosted the cell signals in remote areas where we have never had a cell signal before! We are very happy with this product.

Weboost Drive 4G-X RV install on our Class C Motorhome

Just finished installing the new cell phone booster. Have not tested it on a trip yet but in my driveway without the booster on -106 DB with it on -79 DB and a gain of 2 bars. One caveat, I mounted the antenna on the RV ladder but had to add extra washers to the included u-bolt as the threads ended before the nuts could properly tighten the bracket. Also I added a rocker switch to the booster 12V. hard wired adapter circuit so I would not have to keep turning it off by unplugging the power port. I was able to fish the outdoor antenna cable through the refrigerator roof vent and pull it into a wire channel so no holes were drilled in the skin. looking forward to using it on our upcoming trip from Alaska to Georgia.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We would love to hear how your next trip went! We are happy to work with you to ensure the booster is working optimally. As long as there is internet service outside, and the signal remains stable, you should see internet connection inside on your data service. Please reach out to us here:
