Outstanding camera, beautiful screen

As a photographer who knows the best camera is the one you have with you, the camera features were paramount in my new phone choice. After owning the G5 I was impressed with LG's camera setup but that device lacked in certain areas. My biggest reservation about leaving the G5, for anything, was losing the swapable battery. I can say that I've yet to have a drained phone with the V30. The battery life is far better than I hoped. Fast charging does make a big difference as well. So, the long and short of it is that I don't have the slightest regret and the camera and video quality is everything I had hoped for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the V30+ about a month ago and it was one of the best purchases I have made. The octa-core Snapdragon processor makes the phone fast and can take heavy load apps without slowing down. Also the Oled screen keeps the phone cool buy cutting down on the heat signature unlike the traditional led screens. I recommend this phone to anyone looking for a work horse of a phone.

Great phone with 2 flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the v30+ for about a month now and I can honestly say the experience on the phone has been great for the most part, from the excellent performance to the great battery life all the way to the look of the phone. There are however two issues I have with this phone, one being with an area of the screen being darker than the rest in other words the screen does not appear entirely uniformed the second issue has got to be the terrible front facing camera, I don't think I need to go into too much details in relating to that. Overall the phone is awesome!

A Lemon?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] V30+ is okay... It is my first phone on the Android network, and there are some really weird differences. The voicemail is a separate app from the phone. Call signal quality is below what I'm used to. Is it just network/coverage? I had the same network before...
Screen rotation functionality stopped working for a day. The e-mail app is inferior to what I'm used to, and I can't pinch to zoom out in it when an e-mail is displayed wrong but that has gotten me working on my computer more. I also can't seem to select more than one e-mail at a time to delete.
Voice activation worked reliably for a couple of days, which was pretty cool.
"Okay Google” worked for about a day, that too was pretty cool.
Aspect ratios in apps change when in different battery save modes.
Can’t control volume for separate functions separately (alarm, alerts).
Can’t seem to keep vibration on with sound.
Screenshot function has stopped working, that is very annoying, and I have to hold the home button and ask Google to take a screenshot for me.
Overall, it is kind of frustrating. Maybe I'm just dumb. Anything not listed is good, and it is a very slick, attractive phone. If the other guys hadn't gotten rid of the headphone jack, and didn't fail every time a new one came out, I would probably switch.
Hopefully mine is the exception to the usual quality.

Great phone, 2 complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone can handle whatever you throw at it. No complaints about performance. Plays games with no lag. The screen is big and bright, despite reviews saying it's just "okay" compared to a Samsung screen. I only have 2 complaints.
One negative about the phone... when running at minimum brightness (which I do when I read articles late at night), the screen brightness is a bit uneven in some spots. It's noticeable, but it doesn't affect performance.
Two... the camera. In my eyes it's just not as good as it was hyped up to be. The wide angle is great and makes up for the picture quality because no other phone has the feature, but im having trouble shooting good pictures. I didn't have this problem on my Galaxy s6, which this phone replaced.

Great All-Around Smart Phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My LG V30 is a fantastic smart phone that pleases my eyes with its POLED six inch screen and it feels comfortable in my hands with its great dimensions. The camera is well suited for an amateur photographer like myself or professionals. I'm still learning how to use all the features LG gave the camera. Like most reviewers, I prefer the wide angle lens over the telephoto. It works wonders when you're taking pictures of scenery or groups of friends. The LG V30 is a solid alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy S8 Plus or the iPhone. I feel comfortable recommending it to my friends and family because I know it won't disappoint.

Everything you could want in a phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this phone now for a month now and it's great. Had a Galaxy beforehand and an iPhone before that and this is the best of the bunch. It really has every feature you could want in a phone. Great battery, fast charging, great screen, etc. Love the touch id. It works so fast and smooth. Only real complaint would be the call quality is touch and go. Conversations are sometimes distorted and I've had problems with dropped calls.
