[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the V30+ about a month ago and it was one of the best purchases I have made. The octa-core Snapdragon processor makes the phone fast and can take heavy load apps without slowing down. Also the Oled screen keeps the phone cool buy cutting down on the heat signature unlike the traditional led screens. I recommend this phone to anyone looking for a work horse of a phone.

Outstanding camera, beautiful screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being in IT, I see and use phones from many vendors. As a photographer who knows the best camera is the one you have with you, the camera features were paramount in my new phone choice. After owning the G5 I was impressed with LG's camera setup but that device lacked in certain areas. My biggest reservation about leaving the G5, for anything, was losing the swapable battery. I can say that I've yet to have a drained phone with the V30. The battery life is far better than I hoped. Fast charging does make a big difference as well. So, the long and short of it is that I don't have the slightest regret and the camera and video quality is everything I had hoped for.

Best phone ever

While it has headline grabbing features like a stellar camera with THE best manual controls around, a beautiful screen supporting Netflix and YouTube HDR, and crystal clear music playback through headphones, features like the all-day battery life, light weight, and slim form factor make it awesome.
Between the astonishingly light weight of the phone despite its 6 inch screen and the curved glass on the front, the LG V30 feels modern. The always-on display, knock to wake up, fingerprint scanner, face-scanner further enhance this phone's day-to-day usability because somethings, ya know, ya just can't reach around and unlock with the fingerprint scanner.
The same is true for the location based toggles. It's awesome to leave home and have my phone just know to turn off Wifi and to turn on Bluetooth, and then to reverse the two toggles when I return.
Ya' see, this phone isn't for the boastful; it's for those who want a device that'll honestly make life easier (even slightly so) every day in a slick, easy to use package. The amazing cameras (of which there are three), beautifully tall screen, and high quality music playback are just icing on the cake. The cameras in particular have many controls and even a wide-angle option that makes amateur photography a blast.
The only negative is that this phone is covered front-to-back in easy to scratch glass. It feels sturdy, but it's a real shame I can't rest my phone on a table without worrying about scratches. I understand the appeal and the need to shift from the industrial look of previous V-series phones to a premium look, but I would have preferred an equally luxurious but more sturdy leather back.
That said, because of the glass and overall muted design using a case isn't too big of a deal. I do, though, suggest a slim case to avoid ruining the lightweight feel of the phone.
So there ya have it, if you want a phone with LG's little tweaks that make life easier for you and has amazing photo and video capability with granular control you won't find on other phones, this is the one to buy.

Awesome camera
