Good phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I go back and forth between Apple and Android phones. I chose this because of the DAC and was bored of Apple. I think the DAC is not that noticeable. The earbuds that came with mine were not good compared to my Bose ear buds. I do appreciate that I can use a regular headphone jack however the placement of the jack is annoying. It should be at the bottom of the phone rather than the top. Ideally you place the phone "head" first in your pocket so when retrieving it will be in the ideal position of viewing or answering. If you have headphones plugged in, you have to put the phone in your pocket bottom first. As a result, when you retrieve it you have to rotate it to view the screen. I typically don't rotate it at first and then look at my screen upside down which causes frustration.
The display is great, the colors are vibrant and the blacks are as black as can be. I saw a professional review of this phone and their biggest complaint was the display. I don't get it at all. I like the option of having the clock and notification on at all times although this must be draining my battery. After unplugging around 6:00 am, I come home around 6:00 pam with about 30%. I don't micro manage my phone. I might have multiple apps open at any time.
Nothing to complain about with the OS except for bloatware and the usual clunkiness (compared to iOS). I was happy to use widgets again. There were some network issues early on, losing data while connected to wifi and LTE at the same time. This seems to have been fixed as a result of a recent update.
Pros: easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this phone for three main reasons: 1.) the predicted performance of the camera, 2.) the MORE practical location of the home button on the back, and 3.) generous memory and memory expandibility.
However, LG software still misses the "little" nuance feature sets I've enjoyed on previous Android phones.
All in all, a fine phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new LG V30 is one of the best phones out. Smooth interface and takes beautiful pictures. The speaker is awesome and the screen resolution is up there with the best. I'd definitely recommend this phone to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my V30 plus for just under a month. So far I've enjoyed most of the features the phone has to offer. I'm only annoyed by the constant losing of data. I don't know if it's a phone problem or Sprint problem. I did not have this issue with my last phone. If that can be fixed I'd be 100% satisfied.

LG v30+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy these V phones for 2 main reasons.
1. The high quality headphone jack which when i first heard it with my high quality headphones I was blown away as you can definitely notice a difference and it's awesome. I listen to music 90% of the day so this V30 is the best choice.
2. The wide angle lens. It's just so convenient and awesome looking. I took a trip to Japan and used the wide angle lens for video... so awesome. It allows me to relive my favorite moments of my trip.
I go to shows a lot and when ever I show people videos they are blown away. Usually by the sound since it uses the glass to record high volumes of audio.
Those are my 2 main reasons. Now I was go into other things I enjoy.
2 year warranty: When I first heard about the warranty it made me feel good about buying a phone. It gave me relief in the thought that hey.. i plan on keeping this phone for 2 years and this just makes sense. I like that.
I really like the Always on Display as I have it set to a piece of pizza. I like that.
The overall design of the v30+ is smooth an very clean looking. I like it.
I appreciate this phone coming with a pair of headphones this year. If you're gonna have a high quality headphone jack give us some headphones as well. It only makes sense. you guys did so that'd good. I like that.
Removable storage is always a plus and thanks for letting us add more. I like that.
Wireless charge. great addition to the phone as I use it a lot when I'm at work. just set it down and let it charge. I like that.
The 3d live wallpapers are awesome and I currently use the space one which is so cool when I move t he phone around with my hand. I like that.
The smart settings work as intended which I use and I enjoy them. I like that.
Overall I love this phone and I made the correct choice. There are some improvements that are hopefully made with the v40 but for now this phone is a go and I appreciate LG for adding more features rather than removing main features which People still use.Just don't forget the IR blaster next time.
With that being said I will go into some things I don't like.
The screen is definitely better than the v20 but at lower brightness I see lots of scan lines and it doesn't really look good. Then again I don't buy a phone to use low brightness so it's usually at max at all times so I rarely see that.
the floating bar, it's cool design if you use the main LG skin. I do not use the stock LG theme though. I use another launcher and when you use another launcher the floating bar will not work unless a app is opened, then the floating bar will appear. If it worked all the time I would use it all the time. But since it doesn't I have to knock it.
I do wish the front facing camera was better though. I feel as if my V20 front facing camera is better which is a shame.
I wish the main navigation buttons were more adjustable. I appreciate that I can move them around but I would only like 2 of the buttons not 3. Allow users to choose how many buttons they want and allow us to place them where ever we want. I'm a one handed user so I would put the 2 buttons I like the most on the right side next to each other.
The face recognition needs some work. If it's not perfect light outside It will not recognize my face which is sad. If I could rely on face unlock as my main way to unlock the phone that's what I would choose. But for now I'm stuck with the finger unlock which works fine.
No IR blaster, now I believe you could of easily added the IR blaster in the phone but for whatever reason you guys removed it and that made was a downer for me.
