A few issues caused me to return it.

Purchased for the Chromecast built-in and other cool features like auto-on when optical signal is present.
However I found that the Chromecast was flakey. It often just churned without connecting and the receiver forgot the Chromecast "common name" returning to "Onkyo 8260-xxxx". Strange since the Chromecast in our pioneer VSX-832 is rock solid and the Pioneer is owned by Onkyo. WiFi was not the issue and was itself stable. I performed several factory resets on the Onkyo in an attempt to get better Chromecast performance as well as installing the latest firmware.
Second issue was a slight mechanical hum that eminated from the receiver whenever it was on. Not great when you want to listen to some quiet music, but a non-issue if you like to listen at "11".

I bi-wired the TX 8260 to a new pair of Klipsch RP 600M bookshelf speakers and am totally impressed. The sound is crisp and the range of sound, bass through treble is excellent. Set up and wifi connection were easy.
