Thermo control switch broken after 16 month

It was in perfect running order. After 16 months, it stopped, diagnosed the temperature control unit (thermostat) burnt out. There is no parts available, even tge newest model do not have replacement control unit. It (the whole freezer) is considered a disposable item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bought it in 2016, and already quit. $300 worth of food spoiled.
