Can’t use all of the features out the box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s no point in listing all of the features if you have to buy additional parts for them.
First Impressions: So I was very excited to receive this Nu Wave Pressure Cooker. Upon opening it I have found some simple plastic utensils that I probably will never use aside from the water catcher that’s supposed to go on the pressure cooker. I also noticed that you can’t really use all of the functions because it doesn’t come with all of the necessary parts. Like for the rice cooker I believe you need a glass lid for that and to steam anything you need a wire rack those two things do not come with the pressure cooker so that’s major disappointment and also it’s not notedAnywhere on the box that you need to buy these items I am at an additional cost so the assumption is made that when you buy this pressure cooker there are nine functions and you should be able to use all my functions and when you take it out of the box and set it up however that’s not true because in order to use all nine you’ll have to purchase additional items that’s a real bummer and a little deceptive. Some of the instructions in the manual are a little difficult to read and comprehend/understand so that could use some work as well.
First use/meal: I made chili today was the first time I’ve used a pressure cooker it turned out reasonably well I made chili you can’t mess up chili right so it took About 40 minutes everything in there was done the tomatoes the onions and the celery the peppers I cook the meat before hand because I wasn’t quite sure it was ground turkey I cooked up before hand because I like the small side and that everything went well everything cooks well they came out really good. The instructions once you figure them out are fairly easy to use I’m still struggling a little bit with the proper use of the texture function but I’ll get that figured out eventually I may need to have that explain to me in layman‘s terms honestly aside from that it’s fairly simple to use it takes about
15 minutes for it to get warmed up and get going but once he gets going you can definitely hear it cooking I love the sound of the steam it makes me happy LOL so for my chili at 10:40 minutes to complete and it came out great! The pot burned the chili didn’t find that out until I transferred it out, the warmer works.

Second meal before the review: so I cooked two game hens today. They came out really well I could barely take them out the part because they were falling apart which is amazing especially when you have chicken breast it’s good to know that it’s not going to be dry is definitely very juicy. The way I cooked it was I seasoned it I put some olive oil in the bottom of the pan and I cooking for five minutes on both sides so afraid but not too much. After that I let it cook for 20 minutes and then I finally see you at it and it was done.
You don’t have to cook it like that but that’s how we cooked it and it turned out really good. I didn’t stick to the pot like the chili did so that was a plus although I will say one to do a rotisserie chicken but I found out that I needed the grill again and I mention that before that is hard to get the full use of a product when you don’t have all of the necessary parts and I feel like a grill with a pressure cooker should be a necessary part especially when it’s one of the functions that it’s supposed to work with so if it’s a necessary part it should come with the pot you shouldn’t have to buy additional item that’s real negative and I think it’ll be a real negative for a lot of other people as well.
All in all it’s really nice product aside from that major setback of not having all of the cooking parts that you need to really get the full use of the air fryer I’ll buy a grill what is it would be nice to be able to jump head in without having to say oh wait I can’t do this or I can’t do that because I need to buy this part or I need to buy that part.
If I were in the store and I was looking for something and I saw this review on whichever website I would definitely consider buying it for the right price. But I think knowing that it doesn’t come with all of the parts would be something that would make me hesitant on fully committing to it.
In terms of the score I would give this - 6 1/2 -7 out of 10

Much better than I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was leery about adding a pressure cooker to my kitchen appliance line up but this NuWave 6 qt. has definitely changed my mind. Since I have absolutely no experience with the new pressure cookers, I studied the manual like there was going to be a test. I will say it is extremely user friendly, with 11 presets and other pre-programmed features it's just a matter of pushing the correct function buttons. For a novice like me, the included recipe pamphlet is an added bonus.
The overall design of the cooker makes both set-up and clean-up quick and painless. The safety features ensure my peace of mind, a flashback to my grandmother's pressure cooker! Right now, I am following recipes to a "T" however I'm sure once I'm more comfortable, I'll experiment a bit more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It cuts the cooking time way down from using a conventional oven! another thing that I love about it is it’s so energy efficient. When I use the oven in the summer time it makes my ac have to work that much harder. No wasted excess heat from this unit.

I have always been a little intimidated by pressure cooker but this is so easy to use. As a busy single mother, I am blown away by how quickly it works, I cannot recommend this highly enough!!

It has made my life tremendously easier when it comes to cooking dinner for my family. I love that it cooks meals in basically half the time that it took me before and my family loves the meals that I have prepared in it.So far, I have cooked chili and many other dishes in this pressure cooker I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to save time in the kitchen preparing meals.
