Just installed it but and there are two issues. Opening the freezer and pulling to top drawer out almost alway results in ice falling out the back of the ice tray and onto the bottom of the fridge or onto the floor. It is periodically very loud and can be heard in adjoining rooms. Not sure if it is a defect or normal?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What an Improvement!

I really like my new fridge. It is big enough for all my groceries and I don't have to worry about throwing away fruits and vegetables as often as I did before with my previous one.

The iceman cometh

The "quick ice" feature is wonderful. It works great. My wife and I drink a lot of water and the feature in the freezer drawer is what we were looking for. You will not find other brands with this feature. We use bottled water and thus didn't need the ice and water through the door.
