Failed!!!

I actually really liked this drybox because it was rugged and IP68 rated, padded inside and fit my phone perfectly but when I flipped my kayak the drybox came unlatched and opened up and I lost my phone. It failed me in the one instance I depended on it to do it's job. Major disappointment!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yikes. That's definitely a discouraging outcome to your recent aquatic adventure, and we are very sorry to hear it went down this way. If the two latches of the OtterBox Drybox were fastened appropriately prior to the incident, which we assume they were, the only thing that comes to mind is if the container somehow got severely bashed up against some river rocks or something like that. Without any significant impact, it's tough to imagine both of those latches opening up, as they are designed to cinch down pretty tight.
