My apartment on 1st floor was very hot , steaming after being gone whole days at work.Coming home to be be able to quickly turn the environment around was most beneficial with this A/C unit

Better than I expected!

I purchased this unit to replace my old 5,500 BTU Fridigaire air conditioner that couldn't quite cool a 475 sq. ft. portion of my house. The old unit ran constantly -- and on really hot days, the temperature in the room wouldn't get any cooler than 75 degrees. I was very pleased when I installed the new 12,000 BTU unit (and separate window support) to find that I could cool the room as low as 68 degrees while the unit kicked on and off as needed! The only con is that it's a bit noisier than I'm used to, but it's well worth in exchange for the comfort it provides. I love the remote control feature that make sure the entire room is cool before the compressor shuts off. I highly recommend!

I bought this bigger unit to replace a smaller one. Works great, very quiet, easy on the pocketbook. Couldn't ask for better.

Great remote!

Wonderful workhorse for the summer months. Easy to clean filter. Almost as noisy as my previous 18 yr old machine, but the noise was soothing for sleep. Good price. Lost the remote within the first 2 weeks, a replacement was pricey, but worth it. Machine can be operated by touch buttons or remote. The remote has wonderful buttons. Once you memorize which one is which, using the remote in the middle of the night is easy. Remote is a good size.
