The extras I love are : no need to strips or other stuff to block areas you don't want this vac to go. The 2 side brushes that push stuff to the center. Just wish it had a little more suction power, and was able to draw my block off boxes and lines, anywhere on the map, then move them to where I really want them.
I reviewed two Deebots - the OZMO 601 and the R95. I manage a data center and I wanted a robot cleaner that could both vacuum & mop at a cost that would fit into the budget for cleaning our data center.
The OZMO 601 mopping capability was nice but the robot itself lacked any mapping functions. This caused the 601 to try and maneuver the data center aimlessly and most of the time I had to pick it up and move it to clean different areas. I also had to watch to be sure the 601 wouldn't get caught in a location it couldn't get out of - basically taking cardboard to block off areas. During this trial period I did further research on the Deebot product offerings. After two weeks I returned the OZMO 601 and opted to try the R95.
The R95 is completely different. When used for the first time the R95 builds a map of the area it's to clean and stores this map internally. Once this map is built you can go in and build virtual walls so the R95 stays away from areas it must avoid. While the R95 cleans it updates the map showing what has been cleaned and what areas still needs attention. I was surprised how much dust & dirt this robot picks up. The ease of setting up cleaning schedules and emptying the dirt canister is both practical and efficient.
The only downside to the R95 is the size of the water reservoir for mopping. It does not hold a lot of water and will wet mop a very small area before the reservoir runs dry.
If you need a great robot vacuum system at a reasonable cost you cannot go wrong with the R95.
I bought this a month ago and was challenged by the 2.4 ghz wifi setup as others were. I have an enterprise level wifi setup with 3 high power dual band ap's for our 2200 sq foot house. After overcoming the setup challenges by disabling 5 g during the setup, the R95 started and successfully completed mapping of one floor. Unfortunately, it soon after lost the map, then subsequently lost contact repeatedly with the access point (less than 25 feet away), making building a replacement map impossible. The R95 logic relies so much on the map that, without wifi contact, it literally went in circles until exhausted. I see the promise, but wouldnt buy again until its upgraded to 5g.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Deebot R95 was a gift from my children after we moved into our new home. It is simply wonderful and keeps my open living area clean and fresh looking. I especially like the schedule features, which are so easy to use from my phone and easy to change when needed. Great tool and very welcome to two people who are really tired of heavy vacuum cleaners.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I would have bought one of these years ago. It's fantastic. It mapped our house and now - it vacuums everywhere at a preset time every day. It has the ability to mop and dry too It is efficient and pretty thorough, it does miss some places in really tight corners particularly, but 5 minutes with our stick vacuum and its done rather than spending all the time it takes doing it ourselves. I recommend it - whole heartedly to any one that would rather spend their time doing anything but running the vacuum cleaner.
