Love this printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really love this printer, it’s brilliant, it is so compact and handy for labelling stuff for the kids and labels for organisation around the house. It’s so easy to use and was really easy to connect to my phone. The app is great, so many templates and you can create your own. I’ve already recommended it to my sister as she loves labelling things. I’m already looking at the different tapes and ribbons you can buy for it. I have had lots of fun playing around with all the different templates. It does use a lot of batteries and would be even better if it came with a power cable for when you do keep it on your desk. I can’t praise this printer enough, I think it’s great.

Apps and labels, oh my!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a homeschooling mum of four and as someone who loves to tidy and organise, I was eager to receive my P-touch cube label and ribbon printer. I’ve previously owned a competitors handheld label maker but admittedly it wasn’t the best and so I was intrigued to see what Brother had to offer. Upon opening and unboxing, I was first wowed by its unconventional ‘cube’ like design. On the box it states that it’s operated via an app so there’s an absence of any kind of keypad or buttons, other than the power on/off button. It’s sleek design makes it very eye catching and inconspicuous at the same time. One cannot tell just by looking at it that it’s a printer, let alone one for labels and I like that, it can sit with the rest of our computer tech without looking odd. The app itself was very easily to download off the QR code that was included, and within seconds we were able to start printing. The device itself didn’t come with a charging wire but it does take AAA batteries and it does have a charing port, I think any standard 9v charger would do the job but it’s for this reason I’ve knocked off a point, who wants to run out of battery in the middle of organising?! that would frustrate me so much. I’m currently homeschooling my elder three and do we have many folders, books, stationary etc and it all needs labelling to prevent fights! This tiny but might printer made light work of it all. It offers a massive choice of different fonts, you can use different types and widths of tapes depending on what you need. The only thing I really didn’t like was the amount if label that gets wasted on a single print, in my opinion there’s no need to have so much excess on either side that you will have to trim off yourself. It makes having a cutter in the machine a bit pointless. Overall I would say it’s a very good label maker, it has a couple of snags but is way better and more innovative than my previous label maker. It’s a thumbs up from me and my kids!

Handy To Have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have good and bad points about this. I didn't like the fact it didn't come with any lead or batteries, it takes 6 AAA and so far have lasted so can't comment on how long the batteries take to run out. Having said that it was fairly easy to connect to the app on the phone, the apps great, you can use different fonts etc.. I live for labelling things, I have a touch of OCD so this was perfect. The ribbons were great just wish there wasn't as much waste on the ends before it cuts off. You can also buy replacement tapes but they are kind of expensive to me. So not sure if it's worth it or not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] packaged well, when I opened it couldn't wait to start using it, took me a little while to figure out where the charger was until realised never came with one so was confused how to use it until realised batteries can be used as well bonus! would of preferred a charger cable but suppose that makes it less portable so bonus having a choice of both. instructions are set out easy to understand took a couple minutes to set up app on phone and get started, love how quick it sends across from app to device and the speed it prints is perfect. already looked up all the extra cartridges I can add to it to get my creativeness flowing. my kids are getting fed up of me labelling everything already haha. would highly recommend for household crafts and adding extra detail to things.

Handy gadget but requires patience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I so wanted to give the PT Cube a glowing review but I have to be honest. I'll start with the positive, it's neat, lightweight, portable and has a wealth of uses. Not so positive, set up was challenging, possibly due to having to set it up on an older phone as my usual one is in the repair shop. Finding and downloading the app was simple enough but getting the phone to communicate with the cube was somewhat difficult (maybe once I get my phone back I'll be updating this review) but once set up it worked well, that was until it lost connection and stopped communicating so I had to start again! As it didn't come with a power adapter and rechargeable battery it requires AAA batteries which it goes through quite quickly, obviously this can work out quite costly depending on how much you're using it, considering I'd be using it at craft fairs and boot sales I personally would be carting a box of batteries with me. Finally the tape, I can't find anywhere other than Brother to purchase replacement at the moment, hopefully this is because I'm looking in the wrong places or because it's new, again this could become costly. Overall, it is a neat little printer and I would recommend it to someone who needed one for light use but not for someone like myself who would be doing a lot of printing on site. Perhaps Brother could look into the possibility of a built in or replaceable rechargeable battery so it can be charged off a generator, power pack or directly from the mains which would make it more user friendly.

I’ve been using the PTOUCHCUBE for a few days now and I absolutely love it. It’s compact, easy to set up and use and the app is brilliant. You can create so many different labels using the templates or have fun creating your own. I’ve been using it for gifts, labelling for storage and label the kids things for school. I’m definitely in labelling heaven.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this several weeks ago. Love it. Tried various coloured tape and ribbon and works every time. Ribbon looks great on presents when personalised.

After years of using my original Brother labeller it’s had to retire, moved on to the new cube and makes things so much easier, definitely won’t be going back
I would recommend this to a friend!
